With the season over, I don't want to pollute the main board with baseball anymore. Talk about your team or anything you want regarding offseason baseball news.

    - Tigers strike first in the offseason acquiring Edgar Renteria from Atlanta for two of their finest prospects. This move makes the Tigers lineup and everyday nine scarier with Carlos Guillen moving to 1B on a full-time basis. Dombrowski is going for it all next year. Jair Jurrjens and Gorkys Hernandez go to the Braves. Jurrjens is likely a #3 starter who should help the Braves thin rotation starting next year. Gorkys Hernandez is a toolsy center fielder who will give the Braves two long-term options to replace Andruw Jones along with Jordan Schafer. Unfortunately, both are at least a year away. I like the move for Atlanta because they were deep at shortstop with young Yunel Escobar and Brent Lillibridge, who is almost ready.

    - Where will ARod go? Buster Olney's guess was the Tigers.

    - Will Joe Torre go to the Dodgers? What if Grady Little stays, what will his state of mind be with all the rumors?

    - Torii Hunter and Barry Bonds filed for free agency today. Where will they wind up?

    - Who is going to sign Mike Lowell?

    - Are Mariano Rivera, Jorge Posada and Andy Pettitte coming back to the Bronx Zoo?

ARod to the (insert team here)?

The Mets seem to be an early surprise favorite, would move Wright to second, or move Wright to 1st and trade Delgado.

The Denver Post reports the Colorado Rockies are prepared to deal with the potential loss of two starters.

If the Chicago Cubs offer a three-year contract to Kazuo Matsui, as expected, and the Florida Marlins or New York Mets bid $4 million a year for Yorvit Torrealba, which possible, the Rockies are prepared to lose both starters.

The Cubs want Matsui for his speed. They also believe he could ease the transition for Kosuke ***udome, if they land the Japanese free-agent center fielder. The Rockies have offered Torrealba two years, but he wants to test the free agent waters before deciding on the Colorado offer.

Colorado Rockies GM Dan O'Dowd said he will contact agent Scott Boras next week and attempt to negotiate a multiyear contract for outfielder Matt Holliday according to the Denver Post. Holliday won't be a free agent until after the 2009 season.

The Rockies are expected to make Holliday a four-year offer for approximately $60 million.
San Francisco Giants GM Brian Sabean returned from Orlando and denied reports that he is shopping right-hander Tim Lincecum.

"The only way it's come up is if teams ask about him, and that's where it ends," Sabean said. "I'm not in a position to think there's a trade out there where we could trade Lincecum. But when you finish 20 games under .500 in last place, you have to listen."

I really think A-Rod will end up in Southern California, he just purchased a huge place in Orange County not too long ago. So it comes down the Angels or Dodgers...

Torii Hunter signs with the Angels for 5 years, $90 million.

Puzzling move considering they handed out $55 million to Gary Matthews, Jr. last season. Why not sign a true masher at a corner rather than waste money on a CF type who won't hit enough to justify his contract there?

Surprising move by the Angels. Guess that sets the market for Rowand and Andrew Jones. Neither is worth $18 million but they can get close. $14 million for Rowand, Jones will hold out for $15m.

I don't have a link but the Reds are close to landing closer Fransico Cordova. 4 years 40 something million.

Erik Bedard and Orioles stall on contract...

                        http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/b...,7480581.story

The Orioles and Dodgers have also had discussions about Bedard. Center fielder Matt Kemp, reliever Jonathan Broxton and pitching prospect Clayton Kershaw are among the names discussed, sources say.

That's a lousy trade for Mets fans even though Milledge is a hot dog.
