  • Pirates trade for Rays 2B Iwamura

They get Iwamura for reliever Jesse Chavez.

I like the deal, it fills a glaring need and Chavez faded down the stretch last year. The knee may be an issue, but it's generally expected not to be.

He'll be good for them, till they deal him in July.

Looks like newly acquired Sean Rodriguez from the Angels trade for Scot Kazmir is turning out to be the opening day starter for the Rays.

Hey Ray, how in the hell did the Brewers put up a 20 spot on the Bucks?

The fifth starter for the Bucs should be in AAA, he's demonstrated he's not ready for the big leagues in his three starts thus far this season. Injuries however (and back spasams seem to be running rampant on the team) keep him around.

Hey, it's the Al Bundy principle in action..."if you gotta lose, lose big!"

Well, Hogan, you put up a good fight but I am glad the Bucs swept the Cubbies!

I'm liking playing games against the Cubbies this season

Too bad the bats went ice cold against The Cards & Reds this past homestand....even still, for a team that was largely expected to be the very worst in baseball (dare I say even baseball history?) to be in third place at this point is pretty satisfying. To be there with all the lame starting pitching performances lately, is nothing short of a miracle.

Man, was I wrong...Aki has been nothing but a total disgrace.

He deserves absolutely no more playing time and should be cut outright.
