During our relationship? 1. Previous to our relationship, who cares. You're not in a relationship with a woman if she's sleeping with other guys. You're just ****ing.

I have a hand-me-down baseball mitt that I love. It was already broke in and oiled up. But it's mine now, and I love it. If I get rid of it, and buy a new one, I'll love the new one. If I keep it, and get a catcher's mitt, I'll love them both.

But I damn sure ain't sharing my baseball mitt with no one else. If you want a baseball mitt, go to the store and get your own.

I have no problem with limited polygamy if you can treat your wives the same, and give them all they need. Almost all women want a child, but some women aren't fit to live with a man. Some men aren't fit to be married, nor do they want to be. If you can only treat one wife fairly, than only have one wife.

However, sharing baseball mitts is unhealthy physically, emotionally, spiritually, and just doesn't work. Society completely breaks down in this scenario.

Sounds like a Socialist idea where everyone shares everything like a hippie commune. In reality, it doesn't work.

So...if a woman has 4 sexual relationships with a singular partner at a time she is clean. If she has a polyamorous relationship with 4 dudes at the same time, she isnt?

Is that what I am gathering here?

huh? All I'm saying is I'm not sharing my baseball mitt. You can do what you want. To each his own.

I try out a baseball mitt before I use it. I put it on, tie up the thumb lace. Throw a ball in it several times, to make sure it's a useful tool. Take the ball out and throw, make sure it feels good on my hand. Break it in, if it's not broke in, oil it up. Play a few games with it, and get it exactly how I want it. I want it pliable and able to respond when I need to make a big play. It's right there by my side, and helps absorb the blow. My hand fits perfectly in it. I love the it's particular smell, the leather. I know where it's been, and know that it'll be exactly the same every time I pick it up. Sometimes I'll modify it to make it even better.

Some other guy takes it to the park, changes the feel of it. Loosens the lace, scuffs it up, doesn't clean it, doesn't keep it supple. Then gives it to all the other guys to use. Maybe one guy wipes his nose with it. Another guy gets a bunch of nasty lotion in it, it doesn't smell the same. The lace is loose. The webbing is all messed up.

I get it back, and it's not my glove anymore. It feels different, smells different, looks different, doesn't respond the same. It's the community mitt. I get in a game and miss a play, constantly trying to get it right. It's not right. It's not my mitt.

Kind of a tortured allegory...but it was not exactly your mitt to begin with.

I got in in '88. It has a nice oil spot on it where the ball hits that the previous guy made. It says "Jim Rice" on it, and I can pull it out of my ball bag at any time, go into a game, and feel highly confident that I'm gonna make all the plays.

I'm not the original owner, but we've been through thick and thin together. I've never left it out in the rain, or treated it badly. We've made some great plays together and missed some too. That was my fault, I knew what she could give me and I didn't reach far enough. I'll never give that glove up even though it's not as fancy as some new ones. I got my son a child's glove and teach him to take care of it too. Someday he'll get his own glove that will last him the rest of his life, if he's lucky.

No, but we came across each other and kind of got attached. The previous guy didn't want her anymore. I've had some other mitts, but I grew out of them. Me and my mitt are a perfect fit. The rest is history

Are you trying to tell us Jim Rice slept with your significant other?

Women divide by a factor of 4 just for the guys ego. If Prices girl says 15 it's 45 minimum.

I think it was the biblically judgmental term "whore" that made me go hmmm. Puritanical much?
