  • Best D streak in a long time.

D performances the last 3 games, 10 points vs Chuggers. 17 vs Bills (most of that in Garbage time), and 16 vs kFc.

2 of those were Road games.

#2 vs the run behind only Detroit. This year it is not because teams are coming from behind and out of their gameplans. They flat out cannot run against us.

    #3 in sacks.

This is a much better D than last year and now we have added ball hawks and dudes like Webster and Ward who can force fumbles.

Figured it was worth it's own thread.

Hopefully we have linebackers next week

You know something is odd about this. It seems when we score a ton of points, the defense knows it and almost plays a little more soft or protected. Maybe it's the play calling, or a little of both. But when the offense is in a grind physical mode, and we don't score alot, the defense plays harder. I bet you if we had scored 35 the Chugs would have scored 20 or 24. I just hope when our offense starts figuring out how to get TD's again, the defense has this same physical play and doesn't go into safe mode again.

Please point me in the direction of where we are talking about Trevethan's status.

To be fair if we are scoring a lot SD would have had more series. It usually adds more pressure to D's if the other team has more drives.

Not necessarily. If we convert 2 redzone appearances into TD's instead of FG's, we score more points. It's not like we would have had quicker drives, giving the ball back.

This defense doesn't give up big plays, they force you to work the ball down the field, hoping for a mistake along the way.

Dude, three games isn't anything. We gave up 41 points when it mattered, and we'll have to go back there to win anything this year.

The Bills and Cheaps both have horrific offenses, and while Rivers is good, he doesn't have much else. Let's see this defense sack Brady or cover Gronk or get them off the field on 3rd down even once before we celebrate anything.

It helps the defense having a running offense. Also the Pats had a (bs) punt return td and two short fields on picks

the D also played a vanilla soft zone and matched Gronk with Miller and Ware in coverage. it was a putrid game for the D and JDR was severely outcoached with or without the PR and short fields.

Denver has held opponents to 67 rushing yards over their four-game winning streak. After allowing 36 points to Miami in Week 12, Denver has given up just 43 points in three games.

                            Not too shabby....

Who do we have that can cover him Who in the league can cover him I didn't like the results, hopefully if we get a rematch JDR has learned that Von can't do it.
