  • Paige: Broncos won't just beat Colts, they'll rout them

There will be no horse whisperers in Denver for the Indianapolis Colts when they play the Broncos next Sunday night.

Like Pilgrim, the Colts are in for a world of hurt. They're about to get stampeded.

In their two opening games at home with Peyton Manning at quarterback, the Broncos have scored 80 points. In Manning's last 10 home openers, eight with those Colts, Manning's offense averaged 31.7 points and won nine.

And that's just to start with.

Robert Mathis is suspended, and Jim Irsay is not feeling so good himself.

The Colts confront what is considered the easiest schedule in the NFL, and they surely will win the AFC South.

    But not here, not now.

And if the Broncos have their way this season, the horses of different colors meet again Sunday, Jan. 18, in Denver for the AFC championship. Nice symmetry.

The Broncos, who set their 53-man roster momentarily Saturday, are favored by a touchdown over the Colts, which is ludicrous.

The Colts have no chance of staying within seven points, or 17. Guaranteed.

The main problem with the Colts is a weak Oline. If you look across the Broncos' Dline on paper and match it up to the Colts' Oline, you see the possibility of really bad things happening to Andrew Luck.

I want our defense to get 2 turnovers and score once, as well as hold them to less then 250 total yards and under 17 points, and throw in about 3 sacks as well.

I think we'll win because we never lose home openers, but Luck is amazing and he's going to keep things close.

Anyone actually think Harris is playing in this game? Webster? Luck is going to expose tony carter. That's how he will try to keep it close.

But if our offense is supposed to be this unstoppable force we should win this game pretty easily.

It's gonna be hard for Luck to expose tony carter when he's relentlessly getting his ass kicked up and down the field by von/wolfe/ware/knighton/sly/Ward.

No. We will lose. Lose big. Billion-seventy to three.

That's where Luck is at his best.

Awww, don't be such a pessimist, Archer. Broncos put up 8 points against the Squawks in the SB, and the Colts aren't as good as the Squawks, so this time Peyton & Co lose by 1,000,000,070 to... 10.

See how much better that looks?

Denver has the best roster of any team and is at home, so yes, I am expecting a beatdown.

It should be hard to expose Carter if he is #6 CB in week 1. He wouldn't get on the field.
