Just an awesome situation to see Peyton step up for his wideout, but also to see the Texan's linebacker lay out Welker, great competition.

I don't blame the defender, football is a violent sport and the retarded regulations are hurting the game, hit as hard as you can get away with. Love it.

        $19 million a year
        19/16 = 1.1875million per game.
        659 passes / 16 games = 41.1875 passes per game

        1.1875/41.1875 = $28,831.56 per pass.

So yeah, that fine is about 1/3rd of a pass for Manning.

            An $8k fine is pointless.
You mean other than blows to the head are illegal?

The hit was fine in a regular season game. In preseason, that was bush-league bull****

#20 be like wtf just happened. Too bad we couldn't see Peyton's facial expression when he said FU.

It would have been interesting or maybe an awkward situation if Swearinger started to swing his arms.

If he lifted his arm in mannings general direction, I would bet there would've been 5 fat guys in full sprint.

It's great that an organization that seems to pull half of their penalty judgments straight out of their ass, has got the power to ban someone for life if they have twice been accused of domestic violence.

They were to busy talking to people about domestic violence to address the illegal contact with welkers helmet.

So WHAT is fineable....a shot to the head of a defenseless receiver draws NO fine? I agree that the head shot was largely a result of the play...but Welker was ducking down and giving himself up and Swearinger went directly for the hit. He could have just tapped W on the shoulder , instead of throwing the shoulder and forearm at Welkers head.

The Commish is an a**wipe with NO sense of fairness OR consistency
