I like it but they should move pickoffs back as well.

I think the more exciting aspect would be the fake attempts tried if all spots for PATs were from like the 8 yard line (kick or 2pt). 1 try from the 8 with goal to go would definitely lead to a deeper bag of tricks and plays.

then again, i think the PAT is the last thing the NFL need to worry about right now.

No. No reason to make kickers more important to the game.

I agree with NOT making the kickers more important.
I say there's no need for kickers in the game of football. If they're getting paid millions of dollars and taking up a roster spot, they better earn it instead just going through the motions on the easiest and most boring play in the whole world of sports.

It's broke. I turn the channel after they score a touchdown. Because any play in the other football game, even if it's first and 10 with 80 yards to score, is more important and fun to watch than an extra-point.

I'm not a fan really. I'd just as soon they say TD's are worth 7 and you can try to convert again for an eighth point. It does give you more value out of your kickers. The only thing I like about it is it makes post TD penalties kind of a bigger deal. You get flagged on a TD, especially on offense, you risk actually costing your team some points.

That's very rare. Last season, kickers missed just 5 of 1,267 extra-point attempts. Like I said, you're more likely to see a game changing play on any other play in the game.

27 teams tied for first place at 100%

I am for the rule change maybe not exactly the way they are trying it out now. Make the extra point more relevant. Push the kicker back on a post TD infraction. Don't eliminate the kicker from the game but these guys are just too good to be kicking from the 3 yd line (20 yard total). Kicking extra points was more relevant in the 50s and 60s before the era of specialists. I think guys like Lou Groza, Jerry Kramer, Pat Summerall , Lou Michaels, etc lined up at other positions. I am not suggesting going back to the drop kick era as some you will certainly jump on this with.

I have even heard ideas of two sets of goal posts, one pair inside the other.

What about laser beams. If you hit the blue ones you get 3 extra points, the green ones you get 2 and if the kicker just splits the up-rights you get the normal 1 point.

I really like the longer PATs. There not gimmes anymore and its more exciting to watch for me personally.

What about color coding the space between the goalposts like in the Madden kicking minigame? More points if you hit the red.

I was just about to ask the question of what's the new LOS. Apparently, you answered that. I appreciate it. Are kickers missing extra points, because of this new LOS?
