    Comfort and/or utility

See shoes. Comfort, laid back, perhaps functional depending on what I'm doing.

Probably my guns. I've just kind of started collecting them. Perhaps I'm paranoid a little about the gun laws changing and the feds doing something crazy like taxing the crap out of ammo in order to dissuade the public from buying ammo. Really, ammo is the key and I think the feds are going to try and stop the flow of ammo before they try and stop people from buying guns. However, I'm not collecting massive amounts of ammo, just enough for target shooting, hunting, etc. But guns are probably my biggest hobby right now outside of doing outdoor stuff like backpacking, etc.

What do your shoes say about you?
I like variety and I'm active. Also, right tool for the right job (heels for fun or work, athletic shoes for running/walking/hiking, boots for snow or some for fun). And quality matters, my feet have to support me so like tires on my car I make sure they are taken care of and made well.

Automobile? - Quality and safety are important and being adaptable is too.. I have a 2013 RAV4 and it allows me security in knowing its a quality vehicle, but it's also a very comfortable and nice looking and easy to drive. It also gets decent fuel economy and handles well so I can drive it anywhere. I move around a lot and I can take this car anywhere even back to Europe should I ever go back

Clothing? Same thing as the shoes really. Different outfits to suit the occasion or my mood. I like cute dresses but I don't wear them all the time. I also like tight tshirts but only if I am being deliberate about it (not going to wear them to work clearly). Right now for instance, I am not feeling great and so I am resting so I've got my Bronco PJs (fleece bottoms and a Bronco themed baggy tshirt) on which are comfy and they make me smile.

What are your favorite possessions? What meaning do you attribute to them?
My car: I like the independence I have in and the sense of comfort I get in driving it. It insulates me from the idiots around me and it's a haven.
My grandparents furniture: I love the familial ties and the history. They have passed on, but I will always have a bit of them in my home.
My movie collection: I love a good story and these are my favorites that I like to revisit like an old friend from time to time. They never change, but I always find something new to like about them.
My family pictures and videos(framed, in scrapbooks, dvds, online, etc): not always near family but these snapshots in time allow me to access memories or feel like my family is around even when they are not.
My Various Art: One piece is something my nephew (my favorite person) gave me so I think of him. Other pieces are from friends who made them and remind me of them. Other pieces I picked up in Europe and remind me of those times and places I still need to explore. Included are signed original movie posters (Jaws, To Kill A Mockingbird) and unsigned originals (Modern Times, Rebecca) that I just either loved the movie or the art of the poster. All of it is a reflection of my life of things achieved and hopes for things to come.<!-- / message -->

Shoes; bare foot whenever possible Birkenstocks the rest of the time and if dress up is required I wear socks with the Berks.

Car; the best vehicle for Baja a land Cruiser circa 1997

            Cloths; lose fitting cotton

            Favorite possession; Ranch

What does that say about me? I have no idea.

              Shoes: Dork who don't caaaare

Automobile: Tall dude with large family and heavy boat

              Clothing: workaholic

Favorite posessions: Guitars / amps / effects collection. I rarely get rid of anything, and I can vividly remember every point of life when I acquired certain things. Some of them in trade with my recently deceased best friend. A time capsule that I can interact with from time to time.

                Well now:
                Olathe boots
                Levis 501 (for safety)
                Resistol Hat

Ford 3/4 ton with a rifle rack (beer cooler in the back) (Full) and a good radio so I can hear my Bronco games.

Shoes: I tend to be a shoes whore. But...I hate wearing shoes if I can avoid it. So in summer, I'm in sandals damn near every day.

car: I drive a saturn...got it in 2004. It has 160,000 miles on it. Black...Ive had this car a decade and never changed the battery. Its the most amazing thing in the history of ever. But...next vehicle is going to be a jeep rubicon.

clothes: jeans/shorts and tshirts. I hate wearing suits or dressy clothes. I especially hate ties...they make me feel like Im choking. When I worked in an office, slacks and shirts...bleh.

Favorite possessions: My kindle/books and my PS3 and PS4. And my solid blue bronco hat with the horse head logo. I got that for Christmas in 1998.

For me shoes is all about function. I have probably more pairs of shoes than my wife, but they all serve a purpose.
2 pairs of golf shoes (one winter one summer)
2 pairs of running shoes (have to alternate)
2 pairs of flip flops (need some for the summer and the sale was buy one get one 50 % off)
3 pairs of dress shoes (black and brown {need one of each} and some blue loafers for comfort)
2 pairs of basketball shoes (could use a pair of racquetball shoes but for now just use my basketball shoes)
1 pair of cleats for softball

My clothes are usually for function as well, but i try to be fashionable, but not flashy. Right now slacks, white shirt and tie (with my brown shoes) because I went to church, and I am now at work. Other than that, I'm usually in gym clothes when I work out, golf clothes when I am golfing, or jeans whenever possible (I don't get much chance).

Car is a 2002 Altima. Got it on a good deal and will last a while. Probably says more about my spending than my personality.

Favorite possession is golf clubs, because its what I most enjoy using.

Shoes: I think most of us have a variety of shoes. So I guess I'll go with the ones I wear most, which are Oakley flip flops. So hot out here they keep your feet cool and dry. They're so easy to put on and take off. I wear my hiking shoes almost as often to the gym and the trails.

Car: I'm a truck guy all the way baby. 2012 Toyota Tacoma 3" lift

Clothing: Of course the weather out here really dictates this big time. 99.9% of dudes are wearing shorts with a shortsleeve shirt.

Possession: My work portfolio, my fabulous golf swing, my kick butt breakfast making skills, and of course my very unique ultimate best hiking mini dachshunds are all tied for #1

I like these threads so i'll contribute

What do your shoes say about you?

That i'm boring, I usually just wear boots mostly loggers or cowboy boots, if I do wear shoes the only ones I buy are ones that are around 40 bucks that don't have the cool features that 100 dollar shoes have like an air bubble on the sole.

                            Automobile?

I'd consider myself a car guy so I have a few and all of them except my commuter are 4x4. All of them except my 69' bronco are pretty stock looking and very common so once again they just make me look boring and the bronco probably makes me look like i'm trying too hard but I don't care Some people have multiple pairs of shoes and outfits and I have multiple vehicles. If i'm hauling something or picking up a truck load of something I'm taking the 1999 F350, If i'm driving to work i'm taking the Volkswagen, If I'm going fishing in wyoming, taking the quad or mountain bike out i'm taking the tacoma.
                            Clothing?
all business all the time, carhartt double fronts and t shirts or jeans and button up. I don't own a suit, dress shoes, sandals, or shorts I guess I do have mountain bike shorts and a swimsuit.
                            What are your favorite possessions?
                            Tools.
I'm at peace in my garage doing stuff like blacksmithing, gunsmithing, fabricating, just working on something, or doing home improvements and making a living.

A few short questions to ponder:

What do your shoes say about you?
Nothing, they're shoes. I buy decent quality that fit well and look nice.

                                Automobile?
You have multiple children and you don't want to spend a lot on repairs (aka - not a Dodge....)

                                Clothing?
                                Same as the shoes.

What are your favorite possessions? What meaning do you attribute to them?
Favorite? Nothing I can think of. It's just stuff to me. Their meaning is derived from the utility I guess.
