  • Safety is still a need....

I am on the Rahim the dream Bandwagon, but nonetheless depth and a potential backup who can spell our guys is a need IMO.

FS: Rahim Moore, Omar Bolden??, Q Carter, Boyett
    SS: Ward, Inhenacho, Bruton

If one of our Starters goes down, the safety spot is once again a HUGE deficieny.

Do any of these guys help?
    - Mike Adams
    - Eric Leonhard
    - Ed Reeeeeeed
    - John Wendling
    - Matt Giordano
    - Adrian Wilson

Looking at what is out there it looks like we are stuck with what we got, thoughts?

I would feel a lot better with Mike Adams behind Rahim

I'm not worried. With TJ Ward we can have whoever is left to fill in at the other safety position.

I'm still on board with Mike Adams collecting a game check.

Don't forget about John Boyett. The staff likes him and he could compete with Rahim for FS.

^ Yup, Mike Adams came up in another thread a day or two ago. I'm surprised he hasn't found work yet. He's old but I think he played more than well enough to be an above average backup. And he wants to stay in Denver.

                1. Sign Mike Adams for $1M and cut Ihenacho.
                2. Sign a vet LB for $1M and put Nelson on the PS.

What's up with Q Carter? I'm all for bringing Adams back.

Duke has done nothing to be cut, and he's the top reserve Safety on our roster at the moment.

                    Adams would back-up Moore.

So, you would rather cut Bolden now? I don't think so. All Ihenacho has proven is that he can't perform at an NFL level. No reason to waste time on him anymore.

You certainly don't carry 5 Safeties anymore, not at the expense of cutting a guy like Shaquil Barrett.

Would much rather we cut Bolden than Duke.

When did we pick that guy up? Never noticed him before.

Duke is one of the worst coverage Safeties I've ever seen in the NFL. He ranks right up there with Lowery.

You have odd takes sometimes. Why has Ihenacho proved he can't cut it at an NFL level but Bolden has? And how the hell do we know Shaquil Barrett is even good yet? I agree he looks promising, even if he's not incredibly athletic, but he's still a UDFA.
