Hmm. Are they paying him for his talent, or his mouth?

$97 million on Sherman and Thomas and that's not counting Wilson.

They won't have money soon enough. They have the best GM in the league though. That should help.

            People really aren't paying attention.
They are doing the same thing we do with our contracts.
Front load the hell out of them and lower the cap hit in the successive seasons.
There will be no cap hell for them.

Ya but I don't think Talib is getting 40M guaranteed. That's a lot of money for a CB who only plays one side of the field.

He plays wonderfully in their scheme and allows them to put him on a island and force you to beat them 1 on 1 regardless of the offensive scheme.
That is worth the money. He is the best CB in the NFL.

They won't be in cap hell, but they won't have the flexibility they used to. Especially when Wilson comes due. It's nice to have your starting QB making 3rd round rookie money.

True but they are prepping for that by front loading the contracts of Sherman and etc.
The Seahawks reload, it's what they do. They get better each season regardless of who they have to cast off.

Until they have to pay Wilson they will be fine.

What sort of history are you basing this on? What major player did they cast off the last 2 seasons? 2 winning seasons following 2 losing seasons is an improvement, but not some sort of dynasty. I give Seattle credit for an awesome run this season, but it will take more for me to believe they are a historical Front Office that's always improving. By your logic they are a lock to be World Champions for as long as that staff is together....since they can only improve.

pretty myopic view of the seahawks organization, bro.

No he's not! He is a good corner without question, but without that front 7 reeking havoc and Earl Thomas lined up next to him he would get exposed as just a solid corner. It is easy to look like an all pro when you're only having to cover a receiver for 3 seconds because the front 7 is causing issues for the offense. Easy to look great when you get to intercept ducks and poorly thrown balls that came out early.

They signed Kam last offseason, very team-friendly deal.

KJ Wright/Maxwell, and maybe Lynch as a cap-casualty are ones who could be gone.
