  • Guess the Denver Broncos 2014 schedule

I came across an article (link provided) on ESPN.com. It's about the St Louis Rams offering $100,000 to the person who guesses the '14 schedule correct. This includes bye week, date of game and location.

I figured it would be fun if we did this ourselves. Obviously the winner isn't going to win any money. We can do it to pass some time, unless somebody can come up with a fun reward.

Wonder if we get a primetime game week 1. We know Seattle will. I believe SF will host one with that new stadium. It could end up being a division rival.

At least be serious... Everybody knows week 1 will be our bye.

If I'm not mistaken, San Fran can't host any Thursday or Monday night games this season because of traffic concerns, so theirs would have to be a Sunday night game.

My gut tells me we get the Colts in the Sunday night opener at home. Big ratings. But we've opened at home in prime time 2 years in a row now with Peyton. Nfl could have us on the road this year....hmm.

My guess: all the games that I would want to see live will happen during weeks that I can't possibly make it.

Why would it change this year?

I've been a fan of the Broncos since I was in diapers. Sadly I've never attended a game before. I plan on purchasing tickets for my father and me this season @San Diego. He hasn't been to a game in 20 years or so.

I have a feeling @SD will be early in the season since they played us so good last year.

                      Week 2: at Rams
                      Week 3: Bills
                      Week 4: at Jets (MNF)
                      Week 5: at Chargers
                      Week 6: 49ers
                      Week 7: at Raiders
                      Week 8: Dolphins (TNF)
                      Week 9: bye
                      Week 10: Chiefs (SNF)
                      Week 11: at Patriots
                      Week 12: Raiders
                      Week 13: at Seahawks (SNF)

Either at Chiefs or Bengals in the last 3 weeks gets flexed into prime time

I don't see how the Broncos don't open in a prime time game. The Sunday night one. Unless they want to swing the Broncos on the double header Monday Night Game.

Week 1: Indianapolis Colts - Sunday Night
                          Week 2: @San Diego Chargers
                          Week 3: Oakland Raiders
                          Week 4: Arizona Cardinals
                          Week 5: @New England - Sunday Night
                          Week 6: @St Louis
Week 7: Kansas City - Monday Night
                          Week 8: Bye
                          Week 9: @Seattle
                          Week 10: Buffalo
                          Week 11: Miami
                          Week 12: @Oakland
                          Week 13: @Jets
Week 14: San Francisco - Sunday Night
                          Week 15: San Diego
                          Week 16: @Cincinnati
                          Week 17: @Kansas City

I am too tired to figure this out tonight but I am guessing we have 2 Monday night games, 3 Sunday night games, 2 Thursday night games (most likely on the road vs Pats, kFc, or SD on the road) and kFc is lucky to get it's 1st prime time game in years.
