  • PFF: CB overvalued/undervalued

Harris made the "good" list, Champ the "bad" list.

And I'm sure glad the Broncos took Bolden well ahead of Boykin! (<< for those without sarcasm detectors, I'm not glad...)

It was sad seeing everyone try to say Bolden was a first-round caliber player before his ACL tear. Just sad.

Yup, I questioned this one right out of the gate.

Good call -- I was trying to find the draft thread from 2012 that discussed that pick, but couldn't find it. I hated the draft and still pretty much do.

2012 Draft looks abysmal at this point.

Wolfe, Trevathan, Jackson are all productive picks. The jury is very much still out on the class as a whole as we simply have no idea what Osweiler is. If he steps in after Manning retires and turns into a good QB, it was a nice draft. If not..it was definitely pretty weak.

Trevathan and Jackson -- that is it. Wolfe has an incomplete grade because of what happened with his illness last year.

I'm going to go ahead and say this. I am not sure how PFF grades, but putting Vontae Davis anywhere near the top of the coverage or tackling list for CB's is absurd. I have seen every INDY game this year and graded 4 of his games completely, using coaches grades and he is nowhere close to being that good.

Just like football outsiders, you have inexperienced people grading for these guys and it is nowhere near as valid or reliable as they lead you to believe. So, please take their stuff with a grain of salt.

I still think Bolden will be a solid contributor on ST.

My love for ASU holds him in higher regard than most!

Perhaps. But I think you'll agree that he's a very good CB and will get big money in FA. Suggesting what highly paid football people think about him.

Here's what a couple of rankings have to say about him as a FA:

8th overall FA, 2nd best CB.

13th overall FA, 4th best CB.

Now sure how you can go so far as saying abysmal when we got Danny T in that draft. Dude is so stud that the team has forgotten Wesley Woodyard and his superb 2012 season at Will even existed.

Jackson has also been constantly improving.

I would however say that our early round picks have not turned out as we hoped.

Oz turned out as I hoped--on the bench.

How do we know Bolden sucks again?

Bolden is a below average special teamer, a terrible corner, a worse safety.
