Is he really that good or is he just an upgrade over what we have? Worth $10-$12 million per year?

One of the best safeties in the game. Safety is a huge liability for us.

              Pay the man.

Reports are Buffalo offered him a deal that would make him the highest paid safety in the league for the next three years and he turned it down.

ESPN NFL insiders said he didn't turn it down but I don't remember them elaborating.

He's a playmaker, that played mostly corner in college and then made the transition his first year in the pros. He's a top 2 coverage safety and a top 5 playmaker. Sign him, and restore the tradition of great safety play that's been missing in Denver for many years. Give him Champ's 10 million, and some of Kuper's money. It's very do-able and would shore up our weakest position on D.

He also really wants out of Buffalo. He would want QB money to stay there.
