If I believed in fate we should have won the SB after the Divisional loss the year before like in '96.

If the team implodes next year it is on Elway and Fox, I could see Manning going down with a major injury before that happens.

Shore up the D and make a showing vs the NFC West next year and we should be fine.

Its not like the 1990 team was bad bc they went to the afc championship in 91. How do we come back from a loss like that. The more players that leave the better i say. There are plenty of Free agents available. As long as we have Peyton. We went 8-8 after the redskins SB loss.

The last three Super Bowl winners haven't been back to the playoffs yet. It's the new curse.

So, this is kind of like that whoever plays the Eagles in their home-opener thingy?

The Steelers missed the playoffs both times after winning the Super Bowl. That's four teams this new curse has claimed since the Super Bowl loser curse.

The Pats didn't make the playoffs after winning their 1st SB.

Teams that snap the ball through the end zone on the first play of the Super Bowl are ****ting the bed 100% of the time.

5-11 if Manning hangs it up, 12-4 with Manning playing.

The think I remember about the 1990 team was they blew a lot of leads and the guy living on the billboard.

They'd have games seemingly in the bag, then they'd implode.

The last 6 super bowl contenders who have won an even number of home games over either a 3 or 4 season stretch were able to at least reach the conference championship game the ensuing season.

We need to drop exactly one home game this season to guarantee us a spot in the '14 AFCCG.

How is this a useless stat? A really good team (Broncos 1989) get embarrassed in the Super Bowl then go 5-11 the next season. Then make it to the AFC championship in 1991.

Although another lopsided SB was the Bears/Pats and the Pats went to the playoffs the following year.

how many Manning teams have you seen go 5-11 or miss the playoffs? I think we will take more losses next year, mainly because we will have one of the toughest schedules in the NFL. I think both the AFC West & NFC West will beat each other up next year and neither division will have a 1 seed coming from it and possibly no byes.
