  • Most ELITE albums of all time

    Here are the rules:

Not looking for the normal hyped greatest albums of all time crap. Many of those half of the songs are actually hit songs, while the other half are average to you can live without. That's fine, that a great album. But an ELITE album in my opinion, must have nearly every song a hit song or one that you enjoy the heck out of. You have to love that song, not just kinda like it. If you truly think about it, there are not many albums that you can say you love damn near every single song on the album, if you're honest with yourself. I've gone over 100's of albums and again, while I think there are a ton of great albums, I've only come up with 5 I consider ELITE because I love 3/4 if not more, of all the songs on it. So give us your elite albums and remember, you can't give greatest hits or collaboration albums.

Disturbed - Sickness (IMO, best album ever made - every song I LOVE)
Fleetwood Mac - Rumors (2nd best album ever made)
Def Leppard - Hysteria (3rd best album every made)
Journey - Frontiers (4th best album ever made)
Pink Floyd - The Wall (5th best album ever made)

    Good thread topic!

Foo Fighters - The Shape And The Color
    Nirvana - Nevermind
Pink Floyd - Shine On You Crazy Diamond
Metallica - Ride The Lightning, Master of Puppets
    Led Zeppelin - IV

That's my list. I don't really listen to much Rap or Country, so I'm sure my list is pretty lacking.

Oh damn, I knew there were going to be a few I missed. Your're absolutely correct about Led Zeppelin - IV. I know there are only 8 songs but 7 of them are bad ass and that would definitely qualify it as elite. I'm as big a Metallica fans as you can get but each of those albums had more then a few songs I wasn't thrilled about but they do come close because half of the songs were fantastic.

                  Brmc - howl
My morning jacket - evil urges
A tribe called quest - electric relaxation
                  Killing joke - pandemonium

That's just off the top of my head.

Here's a good list although not all will fit the OP's stated criteria:

The lack of classical, jazz, blues, soul, just shows you are all rock loving rednecks.
