Serious question, were you a fan for the 80's Super Bowls? The three if them?

Because my man, those embarasssments were just like this one.

Those teams were just as dependent on their QB a this one. And they didn't have the injury issues.

Go Broncos. We have been through this before as fans. I have confidence in this organization. We will win one before Manning is done.

I love your optimism, man, but it's just too early. Too fresh.

And, yes, I lived through those 80s embarrassments; and the 78 one as well. This one stings but age has mellowed me out a bit. But not enough to cheer, "We'll get 'em next year!" just yet.

I hear you. But being through it before somehow, to me, makes it suck less. I don't know how I describe it. But it's almost like I'm experienced with dealing with the feelings and surrounding asshole off the cuff comments about the game.

I dunno. I'm not saying doesn't suck, but this does not personally hurt as bad as last year.

agree. At 64 the loss stings...but not as bad. Or maybe its just that I realize that it is ONLY a game. and overall it doesn't mean that much.

I'm assuming the thread is based on the fact that despite how horrible this super bowl was, we had a very good year overall. Lots of adversity, and we fought our ass off. Just came up short in the clutch. Seattle just wanted it more than we did. It was apparent at every position on the field.

It has never worked for an AFL/AFC team. None. 13 win seasons are the kiss of death in the AFC.

The year was fun but this was a disgrace.
