  • peyton to play 2014 season

going for the repeat. per mort

mortreport: Peyton Manning plans to play '14 season. Super Bowl win or playoff loss will not decide his fate. His mandatory physical exam in March will.

2014 will most likely be his final season.

Reason #1 we keep offense in tact.

2015 is going to be a tough season on the Orange Mane.

He had the best year of his career this year, don't see why he couldn't go a few more years if he chooses to.

Interesting question. If Peyton Goes back to back in Denver and rides off into the sunset, will he go to the HOF a Colt or a Bronco?

Peyton just said a few weeks ago, he would like to play 3-4 more years.. What's with all this stuff about maybe his last year but next year is for sure his last one?

Pretty sure this is a myth. You don't go in as a player of a certain team.

If you did , it would have to be the Colts though.

1-2 of these will make it a very easy pill to swallow.

Yep. 5 year rule. If back to back I think it bumps to 7.

Why do you think that? Certainly at his age it's possible, but he also WAS BY FAR THE BEST QB IN THE LEAGUE THIS YEAR. It will take a very steep fall off or major injury, IMO, for him not to play at least 2-3 more seasons.

I doubted it when he originally signed, but I predict he plays out the entirety of his 5 year contract. That would have him retiring at the age of 40, which is well within reason.

Eh, Fox found a way to get to the playoffs with a high school qb under center. Hopefully Os will progress or we find another qb.

Yeah, it's not baseball where you have to be enshrined with a certain hat. They always just list every team and the years spent there. He'll probably have his Dad or brother introduce him at the ceremony, not a representative of either Indy or Denver.

But, given the manner of their parting, I also doubt Manning signs a 1 day contract with Indy when he retires or anything like that.

Fox Sports just reported Adam Gase is the top candidate for the CLEV job.

Seems to early for Gase to be a HC
