      Haters gonna hate.

Record is broken, and there's no way in hell the NFL will ever come out and dispute it.

This is Peyton ****ing Manning we are talking about here.

          Love it.

Last week: "He didn't REALLY break the TD pass record."

This week: "He didn't REALLY break the passing yardage record."

In one month: "He didn't REALLY win the Superbowl."

"But a thread on Reddit—shared with us by a Pats fan—pointed out that a seven-yard pass to Eric Decker late in the first quarter could be ruled as a lateral instead of a reception."

              Bill Simmons or Peter King?

The league fine-tunes, changes, corrects stats the week after fairly often, we just don't hear about it.

They won't do it in this case of course, but it does look like a lateral ....

I can't believe a Pat's fan would do that to Peyton......

The yardage record isn't that big a deal to me, honestly.

With the way the league is going it'll be gone again in the next two or three years I'd guess.

55 TD's on the other hand, that could hold up a while.

                        This.

I know many (even Peyton himself) have come out and said this will be a record that won't hold up long, but I can't help but disagree.

55 TDs, even in this pass happy league, is a LOT. You'd basically need 3 TDs a game...EVERY game and toss in a few 4 or five TD games to achieve this. If you're Peyton Manning, that's one thing. But, if you are from this planet originally? Up hill battle.

That's exactly what I was worried about....they better not **** him out of the record.

That's pretty damn close, so I don't know if the NFL would change that to a run....Peyton Manning could have easily set the record in the 2nd half had he played a series.

Ok, then we need to go back and analyze every single throw of Brees season to see if it was really a catch, lateral, etc...

Give it a ****ing rest Pats fans!

40+ TD's has only ever happened ten times in NFL history, beating 55 will not be easy. You never can tell I suppose, but I'd expect the 55 TD mark will be in the top five for a very long time, even if they do go to 18 games at some point.

He didn't just break the record this year, he crushed it.
