Jets always have a plan to win in 3 years, but never now.

A+ trade for the Jets. They get rid of a cancer and still assaulted the Seahawks in compensation.

Probably one of the better outcomes for the Jets. Adams is arguably the best defensive back in the league. But he wants to play for a contender and the Jets had really pissed him off. So, they were going to have to franchise him to keep him and Adams May have still held out.

So now, the Seahawks need to move quickly to sign Adams to an extension. They don’t want to stuck in a situation like the Texans where O’Brien has to reset the market on Tunsil so they didn’t loose the trade investment.

Probably will be close to how it worked out with the Ravens and Peters.

Adams only has 3 years in the league and the Jets had already exercised the 5th-year option. 2020 will be his 4th season. Then, in theory, the Seahawks will be able to keep him with the 5th-year option in 2021 and won't have to franchise tag him until 2022. Reality might be different because Adams wants a new contract right now.

A king’s ransom for a good player. It’s hard to say who got the better end of the deal?

What's the point of getting first round pick if you wont pay them and pay for overrated FAs like CJ Moseley and Laveon Bell

No team should be pushed to pay a 1st-round pick after 3 seasons when there are still 2 years left on the contract. It sort of defeats the purpose of hitting on such a high pick and getting a quality starter while being able to manage the cap.

If every 1st-round pick starts demanding top market money after 3 seasons, teams are screwed and the 5th-year option would be a dead resource.

Seattle won the trade, Jets will probably draft busts with Seahawks picks like they always do

And Seattle will draft no one with those picks. No way is Jamal Adams THAT good. You give that up for a QB or 15 sack DL.

Jamal has 273 tackles, 12 sacks, 6 forced fumbles, and 2 interceptions, those are pretty good stats

Not every player is Jamal Adams. If Von wanted a new contract going in to his 4th year I woulda been PISSED if the Broncos traded him instead.(Not saying Adams is as good as Von )
