  • RG3's Father tells Snyder who to hire

Usually don't like Bleacher Report but Jason Cole is reputable...

In recent weeks, according to two sources close to the situation, the elder Griffin has politicked Snyder to hire Baylor coach Art Briles, who coached the younger Griffin to a Heisman Trophy, to replace Shanahan," according to the Bleacher Report story.

Evidently the father like to show up in the locker room after games too. Different generation with helicopter parents.

Jack Elway and John were pretty close and influenced some decisions. Calling for a head coach he wants is extreme though.

Jack had an issue with management and didn't want his son playing for a couple scumbags in Kush/Irsay.

RG3 is in the midst of a free fall after his second year in the league, and if you read the article it shows that RG3 doesn't really listen to anyone. To top it all off, his dad is reportedly throwing around demands on who he wants coaching his son. It reeks of entitlement from both men, and that's mostly Dan Snyder's fault.

This is one of the best pieces I have seen on this and really goes into what happened with RGIII this year. Not surprised though as the kid thought he was gods gift. Peyton does footwork drills incessantly even this late in his career.

I thought the quote about ignoring physics was great.

What is with these superstar athletes needing their mommies and daddies to coddle them in the NFL?

You can get away with bad techinque in college because potential NFL caliber players are more physically talented then the average college player. But in the NFL everyone is freaking physically and difference in success is good techinque.

How soon we forget that one of the reasons Elway refused to play for the Colts in '83 was because he didn't like their head coach, Frank Kush.

Personally, I find it really difficult to believe that Mike Shanahan would leak a story to the media.

Who cares? If RGIII wins he's God's gift to the franchise again.
Shanahan has ****ed up since the playoff game and continues to do so now.
The franchise needs a fresh start at coach and a clean slate for all involved to reset the culture.

Starting to sound like the Archie/Eli Manning vs. the Chuggers back in 2004.

Except the Skins will get pennies on the dollar in a trade if they tried to move Griffin.

This is the NFL, not little league.

If RG2 wants to call the shots, become a head coach or an owner.
