  • Cowboys agreed to terms with DT Dontari Poe, formerly of the Panthers.

This deal has been in the works all week and is expected to get done. New coach Mike McCarthy wanted to get bigger on the interior defensive line this offseason, and the additions of a couple former Panthers in Poe and Gerald McCoy does just that. Poe is no longer the every-down interior force he was back in his Chiefs days, but he's still a formidable presence at 6'3/346 headed into his age-30 season.

Bengals signed CB LeShaun Sims, formerly of the Titans.

Cincinnati has almost completely overhauled its cornerback room, adding Trae Waynes, Mackensie Alexander, and Sims, while saying goodbye to Darqueze Dennard. Dre Kirkpatrick could even be on his way out. Sims played 332 defensive snaps for Tennessee in 2019 but received really poor coverage marks from Pro Football Focus. He's a nickel- or dime-package player.

Chargers signed TE Donald Parham, formerly of the XFL's Dallas Renegades, to a two-year contract.

Parham, 22, went undrafted out of Stetson last April and latched on with the Redskins before failing to make it to final cuts. He spent a few days on the Skins' practice squad in September. Parham was a beast in the XFL, however, towering at 6'8/243. He was third in the league in receiving yards with 307 when the league shut down for COVID-19, turning in a voluminous 24-307-4 line across five games. Parham dominated the Pioneer League in college, leading all D-1 and D-2 tight ends in catches per game and receiving yards per game as a senior. Parham also tore up his Pro Day with a 4.67 forty and 38.5-inch vertical with a 10-foot-5 broad jump. He'll compete for a job behind Hunter Henry for the Chargers.

It's not, they wen't from Anderson who is productive and viewed by most as a #1 to Perriman who is a best a massive bust. Means even more now they will likely go WR.

                    • Good work by the Eagles FO. They clearly have a plan, unlike another team that comes to mind...

Eagles always work the cap to their advantage. People said for 4 years straight that they couldn't keep everyone and pay Wentz yet they did it. Once they needed to let folks go this year, they did and then replaced them with better players and they are reportedly hot after Ruggs in the draft.

They have Trubisky and Foles at QB, it doesn't really matter lol

Well, Parks certainly isn't better than Jenkins at safety. But overall they've improved their defensive backfield, particularly the CB position. And they added an elite player in Slay. Meanwhile, so far the Broncos lost Harris and gained Bouye.

I'm not praising the Eagles and knocking the Broncos. I'm just praising the Eagles. They always move around.
The Eagles needed a better overall defensive backfield so even with losing Jenkins they got better as a whole.
