              • Giants signed LB Blake Martinez, formerly of the Packers, to a three-year, $30 million contract.

Martinez was reportedly seeking $10 million annually and Giants GM Dave Gettleman was more than happy to oblige. The 26-year-old has started 61-of-64 games since joining the Packers as a fourth-round selection in 2016, garnering Pro Football Focus' No. 36 coverage grade among 99 qualified linebackers just last year. He's the second big free agent splash for the Giants since the legal tampering window opened Monday afternoon, joining ex-Panthers CB James Bradberry on that side of the ball.

                49ers re-signed S Jimmie Ward to a three-year, $28.5 million contract.

Ward has struggled to stay on the field -- he's played 40-of-64 possible games over the last four seasons -- but he's a nice starter whenever healthy and was a priority for the front office. Still only 29 years old, Ward can hold down the back-end of the 49ers' secondary as they try to make another Super Bowl. He is coming off a career-high 65 tackles.

                Seahawks re-signed TE Luke Willson.

Willson admittedly never amounted to much — 8/79 receiving over eight regular season games — before the Hawks activated Jacob Hollister from their practice squad mid-season. His negotiation is a feisty one considering Seattle is rich with tight ends in Greg Olsen, Will Dissly, and Hollister in 2020. Willson will primarily block and play special teams next year.

I don’t like that AZ got him.
But BUF has been spending quite a bit.
And DET got a D lineman yesterday too.
