  • So this is what you do, you remove the minority obligation from the rooney rule, but expand the rule to make franchises have to interview 5 coordinators/position coaches. Instead of just one minority coach.

    This promotes the coaching pipeline, gives 5 coordinators a chance to interview, instead of a single token interview.

    There are far more black coordinator/position coaches. 5 more interviews per team gets them in the room.

      I don't think the pool of coordinators is as vast.
      We could encourage more assistants to take coordinator positions so that the pool can be greater.

      • I don't think OWNERS get involved with co-ordinator hires,' the OWNERS need more exposure to minority candidates!
