                    Blanda threw 27 TD's and 42 INT's back in 1962 in 14 games. He threw more INT's than TD's the next 4 years as well. Given 2 more games or a couple less INT's and he would have been the 1st there. He was 20 TD's to 30 INT's in 1965 too.

                    Totally different game back then.

                      Also blanda was not the starter but often sent into games when trailing to try and throw the team back into contention. down 14-17 points it was bombs away for the FG kicker who played QB as a side gig. He did have one year where he came in as a replacement,led the faiders to play-offs and he won NFL man of the year
