  • Denver Broncos 2020 Salary Cap Outlook

Broncos can re-sign everybody and still have Salary Cap leftover. Who should we draft? Who should we re-sign? Now that Drew Lock looks like he could be a real deal NFL Franchise QB, what FA's should the Broncos pursue?

    1. Re-sign Chris Harris (but not for top dollar).
    2. Dre'mont Jones has emerged as a bonafied starting DT. I'd re-sign either Wolfe or Harris, but not both.

One thing that might stick out to you is that in 2019, Broncos only spent 22% of their salary cap on active roster Offense.

If it was me, I'd start out the offseason by asking Munchak where Risner would be best longterm, then build the OL around him.

Von at $25m is beyond dumb.

It's only that because he restructured. His AAV is under 20 million iirc. Still a lot, but I don't care how they restructure contracts. He has a lot of a cap hot this year, and Flacco has 20 million dead cap, but they still have 86 million. It's a non issue.

18 of Broncos 22 starters figure to be home grown, as opposed to high-priced UFA signings.

                    9 of 11 on Offense are home-grown.
                    9 of 11 on Defense are home-grown.

The only Starters who aren't home-grown are Leary, James, Jackson, and Callahan.

Sutton and Lock on the cheap right now.

need to take full advantage while you can.

Flaccos number or lack of it when cut will change things up a lot.

Needs to be Harris if that is the case.

Yep. We're in a 3-year window with Lock on a rookie deal. Playoffs or bust in 2020.

Agree. Shelby Harris has shown that he can be an impact DT against top interior OL.

I love Wolfe just dont think he can play 16 games a year. Always seems to get dinged. Best ability is availability and it isnt his strong suit.
