Lock should have never have been put on IR and could have been practicing as early as week 3 or 4. Do you we beat Minnesota with Lock? Probably yes.
Either way the big mistake was made with the plan red shirt Lock which is why they IR’d Lock to begin with. They never intended to play Lock so it didn’t matter whether he was on Ir or not. Luckily they didn’t IR for the season.

      3. They played it really safe with Lock in a season that was never going to end with the Broncos as contenders. Can't you just accept how it played out and see maybe it was for the best?
Not practicing was never 'for the best'

No matter how you want to spin it.

They would have won the superbowl had Lock started right away.

Lock wasn't great this preseason by any means so I'm sure that scared Elway and Co. Sure he showed considerable improvement in each game but he was nothing like he is now.

The most important question has been answered - we have the 2020 starting QB on this roster and for the first time in 4 years we don’t have a question mark at the position.

if lock had started from day one the answer would likely have been much the same. Would he have been better? Worse? There are plenty of folks who believe each way is better than the other but no one knows.

Rookie QB rarely make playoffs and they don’t do anything when they get there, Lock would almost certainly have been the same.

This season is a success after two years of the being torpedoes under radio. We have a competent HC, certainly in the defense. OC remains a question but he certainly has a way with young QBs and it’s worth seeing if that can develop. Like the rest of the O Scangarello has been better since lock started and the adjustments to the Lions after 3 three and outs leading to 5 straight scorin drives were very good. Munchak needs time but there two the restive competence of guys like schlottman and Jake Rogers bodes well if we give him some legit talent to work with.

Actually more concerned about Fangio's coordinating in some respects than Scang's.

That defensive effort last week was sobering.

                    rational observation and sensable optimism.

Actually, he looked good all things considered. What was impressive was his improvement every game. He worked his way into being the #2 QB before being injured.

This reminds me of all those people that kept bitching about how the QB situation was handled throughout our SB run. And even after we won the SB people found something to complain about. Just chill out and enjoy the fact that our search for a quarterback might finally be over.

I was pushing hard for him starting day 1. Now I wasnt there to see what was going on behind the scenes but it seems like they have got it right so far.

Criminal negligence is more accurate. Since he's having success now, they'll swear the plan was to let him develop and you can see the improvements he's made from sitting behind a vet.

I think maybe Elway was paranoid of Lock getting hammered, losing confidence, and theñ not bouncing back this ruining him.

Thing is, Lock is mentally great. I noticed last night watching Trubisky. He already looks like a whipped dog. Lock exudes confidence. We got a good one! Crossing fingers he becomes a great one!
