Vinnie Bon is a Rams insider and you can bet your ass that the Rams pushed him to float this. Rams want that LA stadium to themselves.
The market will support both teams. The NFL just needs to embrace the fact that BOTH teams will get 30-50% opposing fan attendance for a generation or so. Not only is LA full of transplants, but even kids who grew up here latched on to other teams. They're not dropping those allegiances overnight.
The building will be full every week for both teams. Who cares what color jerseys are in the seats?

Let me elaborate.
the nfl would send TWO teams to europe. first sunday, they play each other, at a rotating scheduled stadium to involve more than just the two home europe teams. There is parody in having the 2 travel teams play each other the first week.
then those same 2 teams play against the two european home teams over the next 2 weeks.
then those teams go on a bye, to play on the next THURSDAY night game.
this is a 3 week excursion to europe with minimal travel impact. a chance for franchises to experience europe during the bye week and get back home in time to fulfill the thursday obligation without enduring a short week, 4 day turnaround.
injury control.
the europe teams would come to america with the same schedule except they would have their bye week before their first game.
Gives the european squads a chance to check in on their USA families and more than a week to match up against american teams.
To help this all come together for scheduling, I would INSIST on TWO bye weeks for every team. this expands the season , without expanding games and provides that extra get healthy week for every team.
2 europe teams, two bye weeks for the schedule.
while I am at it, drop the pre-season to 2 pre-season games.Last edited by CHEF LUIGI; 11-05-2019, 10:31 AM.

F*** no. Not when the Broncos would have to fly to London once a year for this dumbass experiment. F*** that noise. We finally got rid of having to play the Raiders on their stupid infield dirt. Last thing we need it the Spanos family screwing the rest of the AFC West with this stupid move.Last edited by v2micca; 11-05-2019, 09:51 AM.

every single game has been a sell out.
tottemham has a custom designed NFL field resting under their "soccer" pitch of real grass !
anyone who says london or europe cant support the NFL week to week has no sense of reality !
aggy step forward to receive your prize.
the stupid NFL just has to work out logistics, there is plenty of fan support.
as for the chargers, they would have to travel to europe for now to have a chance of feeling like they had a home game.
and it wont get any better when they occupy the new LA stadium.
but thats nothing new, and hardly exclusive.
every new stadium since jerry world has visiting fans coming for the stadium experience, making home crowds sound like second voices, Cards games always seem to be 50-50 at all their sold out home games.
regardless, fan support is a by-product of winning.
the chargers need to win more games if they want to sell more hats and jerseysLast edited by CHEF LUIGI; 11-05-2019, 10:32 AM.
