Ok, ok, just something some delusional fans like me can cling to.

Yeah, it may be "wishful thinking". But it's also a fair point. It was this coaching staffs' first time coaching an NFL game, and the players' first time playing for these coaches in these schemes. It's not going to be perfect right away. This doesn't excuse the performance and the mistakes. But it may help to explain it at least a little bit. Needs to get better for sure. But let's try to give it a week or two.

Definitely a rough first outing for Scangarello and he's the one with the most question marks, but this game was about all the talent this team doesn't have.

It’s a 3 year project, but it was off to a very rocky start...

All we need is someone to collapse Flacco's internal organs, and then Rypien needs to rise from the ashes and lead the team for 20 years. It happens ALL the time.

Realistically, it was a single bad game. They happen. There were some flashes last night. We as a group should probably relax a bit and wait and see how this all comes together. Or doesnt. Then lose our ****. Or not.

                  First off....., No. Let's not..

                  Second off; Lol?

Third off: Okay, now you're speaking English.

                  Fourth off. On the money.

First time HC with a first time OC, new DC,, new QB and had a rough first outing? It sucks yeah. but not really that shocking. Regardless of how 'bad' Flacco looked out there last night, he looked like a major improvement on anything we've had post 2015 Manning. Once the chemistry and timing develop with his WR's, this team will be just fine throwing the football. It's the O-line and D-line's that both look awful. And games are won and lost in the trenches.

If Hamilton caught that pass in the endzone we still could have won that game. Oakland played significantly better football and only won by 8 points. That should say something.

Brady got his shot because Bledsoe was forced out because of internal bleeding due to a hit by a Jets linebacker. Whoever that man was Brady owes his entire career to. It led to 20 years of *Patriots dynasties and 6 titles. 2001 was a wild year in a lot of respects. To make the OP's use of Belichick work, similar events would have to occur here.

It was sarcasm. Sad I have to explain that.
