Jewell doesn’t play slow. He *is* slow. Like physically can’t move very fast. Sure with more reps he’ll improve on the mental side but it’s never going to make up for how slow he is.

Jewell is quick, but not exactly fast, a 4.8 forty, he's just not lightening fast. The biggest reason why Jewell excels at the ILB position is his instincts, that is, he always knows where to be and if he can diagnose a play before it happens, then he's not "catching up" to the play and he doesn't necessarily need to have tons of speed. It's the LBers who are out of position that have to run from behind to catchup to an offensive player that need "speed".

In the end, it's Fangio who is making the decision on where and how much Jewell plays.

        Al Wilson: https://www.mockdraftable.com/player...on?position=LB

JJ compares favorably to Hardy Nickerson who was a great LBer for a lot of years in the NFL.

24 and 19 +5 point differential will get most teams into the playoffs. this D should be top 5 so the offense and maybe McManus needs to have a 2015 type year . Flacco just needs to do what he was doing before being injured. Very good RZ % and I think Denver has better backs than Ravens. Ravens has a better Oline.

Pesonally, I think he's the best ILBer in the NFL and he ran a 4.7 forty...

He and Novorrow Bowman are almost identical physically and athletically. Bowman has tons of success under Fangio.

What flacco was doing prior to injury was playing like a bottom 10 QB with a 3-5 record. If that's what we get(it's what I expect), then we'll be seeing Lock by the bye week.

Having the right personell on the field at the critical moments. Thats what the great ones do, they are always ready.

Todd Davis and Josey Jewell, they decide where this defense ends up. Solid upfront and in the back, let us see Fangios D RE ACT

No Turnovers, Smart decisions, low scoring, tough offensive football.

With Vic and his D, we will be in every game. No doubt about that.

This team cannot afford mistakes big or small, the room for margin is that small. BuT, the opportunity is that BIG!

But their is an opportunity here "A big one" to get a solid offense and make the playoff.

I'm revising, I'm calling 10-6, with a first round playoff road win.

                  Lets Go!

Get ready to be disappointed. Flacco only goes to the bench if he is injured. No way, rookie coach Fangio throws in the towel that quick on the QB he requested when hired. And yes, he and Scangerello both wanted Flacco for this season when he became available.

Yeah as Drew Lock should Flacco get injured or play badly would get the start.

Let's see what Scangs can do with Flacco...
