I am withholding my thoughts until I see both Lock and Flacco play in the PS. If I don't like what I see I will start worrying then.

      Flacco is our Quarterback.
I don't know what's this desperation in wanting to play Lock so soon, when that wasn't even in the plans going into this season.
He hasn't even had his first training camp snap, let alone taken a meaningful snap with the team.
I like him a lot, and the plan is for him to take a seat behind Flacco.
There are a lot of variables that go along with his development and his own attitude and quick assimilation of the system will help him a lot, but there's not substitute for experience, so a year under his belt learning from Flacco will do good for him.

        The Rypien wagon is there.
Our newest version of Sloter type love, upgraded with the reason why Swag was supposed to be better. A HOF uncle.
If we keep Hogan, he may even get poached off waivers. So its almost perfect for someone to love in the same way.

I'm rooting for him. I'm hoping both Lock and Rypien beat Hogan. And both become our future.

Mark Rypien isn't in the HOF.

The chefs sat mmHOomes too. They might have had ideas of what he was capable of but still didn't trust him as a rook to go out and win. If anything they were afraid of stunting his growth but looking back on it their D was better in his 1st year and if he played about 65% of the way he did last year they could have won a SB that year.

I am hoping to not be on it.

I do like under dogs and I like the guys who have pedigrees of fathers or family who have played in the NFL before them but I would like to see John hit on a highly drafted QB. It also would be nice to have 2 young guys who can play behind Flacco if he flames out.

We should have traded for Rosen as well.

                  Ick.

I think Baker was the only QB worth anything in that draft, the others were just hype. I know he got pummeled when we played him but he wasn't making good choices either and just looked lost at times. Allen is probably going to die in Buffalo just due to lack of support from ownership and maybe the guy the Jets took could be the 3rd best but I don't see him being more than another Tannehill though he looked good against us but they were running all over us so hard to judge, especially with VJ and Woods running that D.

Plus if we did that our Draft board would have been hosed up and our picks would have been way different. I thought the way John picked this years draft was masterful. He got a homerun with Fant, picked up a free pick to take a flyer on Lock, AFTER taking a Swing Tackle/G who will probably also be a day one starter, we needed the depth at DL and I think Jones will rotate in this year.

And Sloter is not the Son of Thor.

Don't make no difference around here tho.

I thought my post was funny. And that's all it was trying to be.

Lately I'm explaining all my dumb jokes.
It's like VJ stole the funny bone. And everyone got sad.

Two more days until camp, everyone should chillax. We shall see all soon.

You say ick but we could have had gotten Rosen for a pack of smokes. He could be terrible or could be above average. But whatever the Phins paid for him it wasn't much for a top 12 pick from last year that could be decent. My whole point is that the more options the better for Elway to get it "right".

No....but unlike Swags uncle, he did manage to win a ring.

Who's career would you rather have had as far as playing football?

Bit of an odd question. I think what you should be asking is would you rather have had Jim Kelly on your team and just missed out, or Rypien with fewer elite seasons, but also a dominating Superbowl win?

I'll take the HOF QB vs the guy who caught lightning in the bottle for 1 YEAR. Washington would have won that year with several journeyman QBs.

It amazes me how many people use the ring argument when it's pretty well known Football isnt Golf and takes a good team and some luck.

KC would likely be a 3 seed and would have lost in the divisional @Pittsburgh. The 2017 defense still stunk, and Mahomes wouldn’t have had the skill to win that type of shootout vs. Big Ben yet.
