Cutler said he approached the staff during the rookie season with the symptoms and Greek told him it was rookie fatigue. So cutler didn’t bother to pursue further until before 3rd year when it was worse.

players required to do routine blood tests each year..

notice “nor the Broncos”. It’s not so much up to cutler as it is the med staff when the warning signs were ringing. He didn’t pursue cause some brushed it off as “rookie fatigue” those are the exact words from Greek.

”The third-year pro lost 35 pounds and some zip on his throws last season but neither he nor the Broncos heeded warning signs, including constant fatigue and unexplained weight loss, until team medical personnel noticed a high blood sugar reading in routine tests in March and sent him to a diabetes specialist.”

if a player loses that much while fatiguing it shouldn’t be just up to the player, it should be “heeded” by the med staff that looks over players too.

And what does this have to do with Phillip's wrist? The surgery wasn't performed by Greek, nor the Broncos.

Hmm. Maybe Lindsay has diabetes and Greek, a trainer, missed the "diagnosis".

Outside of that. No ****ing clue.

        • I despise Greek and his leeches. But if PL didn't communicate this pain or they didn't come to an agreement then it isn't his fault...begrudgingly.

          • Greek is a facilitator / trainer not a doctor.

He had wrist pain all year I’m sure the doctors told him he’ll need cleanup surgery after the season if he could tolerate the discomfort during the season

We do need a trainer because this last year was nuts. the trainer we had the SB year was best we have had in years not sure why made the change last year to this guy?

Greek is old my guess he will retire soon as well.

Richesson left for a larger role with the Texans. Don't think he and Bill O'Brien got along and he left after 1 year with them.

I know I've scoured the articles looking for the quote. There was a quote form Cutler at the time that said that the trainers recommended a blood test before the end of the season, but he never did it. I can't prove that though.

I’ve looked for the interview where he said he went to Greek with symptoms and he brushed it off as rookie fatigue. Can’t find it but remember it well.

oh well. The Greek jokes were made for years here. Just crazy bad luck with injuries for this team over the years not just inept medical mistakes. Slipping on a McDonald’s wrapper? Tripping over a dog? Seizures on a bus? Multiple Shootings at clubs?

                        Bad luck

Well....that is over like a solid 15-20 years, some some oddities are bound to happen. Sad to see the self inflicted ones though.

love this statement. This last run on the thread is great as well If something not 100% factual debate is great on this thread ...and encouraged. I don't want 100 posts of a person stating what he stated 5,000 times before spamming the board so yes you are right
But so far good comradery so far, this thread rocks.

Please post as many Rumors on this thread because at one time this place has an amazing great record of being first at uncovering juicy stuff.

                            • Sorry if someone already posted this, but it's a rumor from the Senior Bowl:

                              http://walterfootball.com/nflhotpres...Rumors-Tuesday

According to some team sources, Broncos veteran offensive line coach Mike Munchak may want the team to go in a different direction at center. Connor McGovern is set to be a free agent. but sources tell me Munchak may not be crazy about the idea of keeping McGovern around. Instead, Pat Morris could get a longer look at center while the team looks to upgrade at the position. Munchak holds a lot of weight on Vic Fangio's staff, and Munchak's opinion could be the reason why McGovern wasn't extended last season after the team re-worked Joe Flacco's deal. The Broncos ended up signing Andy Janovich, but the money is there for them to get McGovern done and perhaps even Justin Simmons.

Munchak is widely regarded as one of the best offensive line coaches around the league, and he had a challenging time in his first year with Denver. He was tasked with trying to get left tackle Garett Bolles to improve, develop rookie starter Dalton Risner at left guard, and deal with injuries to veteran right tackle Ja'Wuan James. Denver's offense provided some signs of optimism for 2020 with the way rookie quarterback Drew Lock played to close out the season.

Even though Munchak may not want McGovern to return, the Broncos could re-sign McGovern if he has a cheap price. It will be interesting to see how Munchak would respond to that, but the veteran coach is likely to remain with Denver regardless.
