  • Broncos looking positively Super after crucial win

It's only the first day of December and winter is still weeks away, but this is the win that should do it for Denver. This is the win that sets up the Broncos to finish with an AFC West crown, the conference's top seed and home-field advantage in the postseason. Sure, there's a month of football still to be played in the NFL's regular season, but Sunday's 35-28 comeback at Kansas City should be the one that clears Denver's path to the Super Bowl and puts Peyton Manning in position to play on the game's grandest stage for the first time in four years.

I know. I know. There's Manning's mediocre playoff record and those pesky New England Patriots (9-3) to contend with, and those are no small concerns. History has proven that. Again and again.
But when I look at the current order of things in the AFC, the list of elite teams starts and ends with 10-2 Denver. There's no one else who seems as poised and primed for a Super Bowl run than this record-breaking Broncos team in a 2013 season that seems to give us a new and impressive statistical accomplishment to ponder almost every week...

I don't see how the broncos getting home field is anything close to a sure thing. That's absurd

Nothing matters but superbowls. we have room to improve and are not firing on all cylinders. hopefully we can get healthy and smash it up in the playoffs.

I think it is vital to get DRC back healthy. We need him, and actually we really need Julius on offense.

I hope we get #1 seed but, honestly D isn't strong enough to say it's a lock yet.

D needs to get healthy more than anything. Pretty much all their tires have blown out at this point.

I probably shouldn't speak for SI as they can be band wagoners to sell mags, but I don't think that is what they saying. However, the Broncos do control thier destiny with 4 very winnable games ahead.

This team will go as far as the weather allows.

Since we play on Thurs against SD on the 12th. Maybe we can heal up for Houston with 10 days between games

I can easily see us getting lucky with the weather in Denver. That's Colorado weather. Lots of mild, sunny days in the middle of winter. But if we get to New York? Yeah, it's going to require an act of god to get a Manning-friendly day there.
