  • We lost because we have a bunch of mental midgets on this team

Guys like Tony Carter are why we lose. ALWAYS in the wrong place, ALWAYS at the wrong time.

I said early in the season that this team has super bowl talent, unfortunately we sport a bunch of mental midget and our propensity to not take care of the football by way of fumbling and dropped passes would make us pay. Here we are.

****ing sucks to lose like this but it's a sign of things to come because nobody is demanding accountability. The biggest different between the MO of this team and our late 90's super bowl teams is that those teams demanded perfection, especially on offense. Our offensive unit here has fumbled possessions away all year, just like we turned over the ball and choked to Baltimore last year.

This team needs to wake the **** up.

    We're soft.

That's our problem, in a nutshell.

I don't think we're soft. We had some guys makes stupid plays. Soft teams don't rush for 200 yards on the road in the cold.

OP is right. Patriots put a premium on putting smart players on the field who don't hurt the team.

We lost cuz we played a really good team on the road. And if we meet again, it'll be in Denver.

Mentally soft, yes. This team tightens up and plays poorly when the going gets tough. Same thing happened in the Baltimore playoff game. Losing to far inferior teams talent wise.

And we'll find another ****ing way to blow an important game.

Welker shoud have just caught the damn ball.

It was his only function, and he ****ed up.

Jesus, that is not Carter's fault. The ball HAS to be fielded in that situation. Middle of the field at the 20. GTFO.

Game was lost so many different times is ridiculous. How about the last time they had the ball, first down around the 40. They run it on first and 2nd down with a gimpy Moreno? WTF do we have Manning? He's goddamn worthless in "playoff" weather.

Amount of good teams beaten in the Manning era: 1 (@ Balt last year). Subsequently lost in the playoffs to same team. Every other time we pissed down our legs.

KC may or may not be frauds, but **** them and they're ultimately irrelevant. We definitely are frauds and will not do it when it counts.

That's pretty much it. Unless maybe you count Cincinnati last year and KC this year. But I agree, we struggle against the truly elite teams.

On the bright side, we took a team Manning always loses against into OT and they needed us to give the game away to lose.
