They're all sold. They announce no-shows.

What their methodology is, I have no idea.

IMHO, we would be well served to get a HC who had done it before AND get two new hot shot young coordinators who are up to speed on the latest and greatest concepts.
Promise the HC that in 2019/2020 we will get HIS QB no matter what it costs.
      And let the dice roll.

That's my point. It is only going to get worse if he's back. They won't be able to keep claiming the packed stadium when on TV broadcast it looks like a Chargers or Jaguars game with opposing fans filling the seats or huge areas of empty seats.

No. They sell out ticket-wise within minutes of them going on sale in July.

Announced is butts in the seats. I think it was the Houston game where they announced there were around 4K no shows, and just eyeballing the stadium, it looked like it was closer to double that.

There’s not a ton of secondary market interest either. My brother couldn’t even sell the games he was unable to attend for face value this season.

          Interest is tanking.

BINGO the 40 K who do attend are mostly going to this last game to make sure JFE hears their displeasure !
the 25k empty seats will be silence seen loud and clear !

VJ is done, too much smoke already around him going to the Bengals and getting fired.

When would a new coach be announced? VJ was hired January 11...so 2-3 weeks?

Yeah, I would think VJ gone on Monday and then maybe first interviews by the end of next week. Coach hired by mid Jan.

HCs don't tend to get better on 4th down.

The coordinators are the really important coaches (unless the HC is one).
Riight.. the 9th best 4th down conversion ration in the league will totally keep VJ in Denver. O.o

I said he was #1 at going for it, not converting. Going for it is the important part; conversion rate is on the OC.

VJ makes draft day more interesting, can't think of another reason for a third year.

even the broncos were little more than "casual observers " .
I heard the Raiders game was the worst. Like that 55 point drubbing they have us a while back

Plus there are good candidates out there.

                              Shanny
                              Dave Toub
                              a couple college guys
bunch of hot coordinators like Bienimey (SP?) in kFc
                              etc

I think John has had his best success when he tries to get the band back together and go back to their best successes in the 90's. It worked with Kubes, Manning just didn't have enough good years left in him by then.

With our stable of young RB's I see John going back to the WC Zone/Stretch O and probably try to get a Plummer type year out of Keenuts unless they make a move for Bridgewater who looks to be starting this week.

Going back to that kind of O points to Shanny, Toub, or Bienimey. That is the way I go with Eric being a long shot.
I think that has been John's biggest problem, living in the past. Remember, Kubiak wanted VJ as his DC, thank heavens for Cincy! Wade is the only person from the past that has worked. That 2015 and 2016 O sucked big time. You can continue to blame it on the QB's but several teams have had success with backups. See 3 of the final 4 last year and the current SB champs.

And oh, don't try to make Keenum like Plummer...please.

That’s what you got out of my post? You either didn’t read the 2nd paragraph, or your not bright enough to comprehend it. I said, VJ WILL be gone after Sunday; no worries there. So there is the change you want. I also said, HOPEFULLY, Elway will conduct a comprehensive search this time so he doesn’t have to go with some guy that isn’t named VJ.

How you can interpret that as me wanting to keep the same is known only to you. All I am saying is I don’t want change just for the sake of change. I want change with a purpose, and “settling” for someone just because he is better than VJ, isn’t a move that has a purpose, it only pleases the fan base...temporarily. Hopefully, Elway has a better plan this year than he did two years ago.
