He’d be stupid to wait. He’s lined up right now near the top of 2019 draft. Next year things could happen, along with a crowded field to drop him.

Right - fixed it. Depends if he declares I see. Jones sounds like the type of qb Elway likes (tall at six foot 5, mobile) and his college coach (Cutcliffe) has strong ties to the Mannings.

Watch his game tape (not highlights) against Clemson who has one of the better defenses in college. They send a lot of pressure and have a lot of speed. He does well within his team’s capabilities.

Jones looks to me to have Josh Allen's attributes but he's more polished. And the Cutcliffe/Manning connection has to help his standing in the eyes of the Broncos. Cutcliffe says of Jones in that link I posted:

"He'll be a first round draft choice if he does decide to come out," Cutcliffe told Jori Parys of ArkLaTex.com during Independence Bowl preparations. "I mean he's so accurate, he's big, he's fast, he's athletic. He's got a fast twitch mind along with that fast twitch body. He's got impeccable character. You don't get many chances to draft a guy like that."

Similar athletic capacity, but Allen is a better runner and much more arm strength. Good news is the mental quickness piece.

Wish we could see him play in something like the senior bowl, but he’s a redshirt junior.

He might be a late add to the Senior Bowl since he's graduating this month.

By now, you know Murray’s 2018 was bonkers—4,053 yards, 40 touchdowns against seven picks en route to the playoffs. That, of course, is why there’s been so much speculation that he might pay back his baseball signing bonus to enter the 2019 draft. Would that be a good idea? It depends. If he’s cool going in the second or third round and loves football too much to resist giving it a shot, then sure. But if landing outside the first round would be a gigantic letdown for him, sticking to baseball might be best. “He’s a really talented athlete, rare speed and dynamic playmaking ability,” said an NFC scouting director. “He’s really small for a QB at 5’9”-ish. A pro offense will have to be tailored to his skill set, and teams will have to have a plan for him. I do not see him fitting a true West Coast style or similar pro-style offenses. The game is changing and being a lot more innovative on how to use special athletes, so he’d find a home and could be special. There’s a lot to figure out over the next few months if he does come out, but a special talent like him is hard to find.” As for Murray, go ahead and call this a nice problem to have.

Jones is going to be a high draft pick with his ability to run a pro style offense.

And he's not done yet in that bowl game. Now:

                      28-37 413 yards 5 tds

3 legit 1st round QB candidates so long as Haskins declares, if Murray declares that's 4. The more options the better.

Grier? And i dont see Murray declaring and some talk Haskins may go back to school.

                              1) move up for Haskins or Lock
                              2) go BPA in round 1, go QB in round 2 (perhaps trading up in round 2)
                              3) trade back in round 1 for QB
                              -or-
Go after somebody like Brisset or Bridgewater or Mullens and don't draft a QB high.
I like the idea of Bridgewater, either way we need depth and an open competition would be good.

I think they need to find a HC 1st and find a guy who can run his O.
