    • ^ Good point by Baldinger on the comp to the early-Kaepernick 49ers. Which is, again, why the Redskins (among perhaps several other teams) were dumb to not at least try to see if they could get anything out of Kaepernick after losing their QB's to injury.

      • Darnold 24/35 341 3TD today.

        • It's probably Baker > Darnold > Rosen > Allen/Lamar.

Darnold has been fantastic lately though.

          • I'm sorry, but what am I supposed to be seeing in Jackson as a passer that is impressive? The Kaepernick comparisons aren't a good thing in my opinion, at least not in terms of his long-term prospects. He's a great athlete and a crappy passer. Maybe that changes, but it's unlikely.

At some point, you will have to stop with the Jackson hatred. He's a QB, a damn good one.

              • He's Mike Vick. I think it's debatable what that means. If someone thinks Vick and his style of play was representative of a good QB, than I think it's a perfectly reasonable stance to take that Jackson can be a good QB.

I think he sucks as a passing QB because he's ultra-inaccurate. They've dumbed down the passing offense to short throws and the occasional bomb attempt, the announcers call it a true college offense, whatever that means. Jackson wins because of his running, which is largely how Vick won as well, but we knew he would from his college tape. My issue remains that I don't think it's sustainable, there has never been a running QB that didn't miss multiple games or even a full season and get his career shortened by injuries. Jackson is particularly skinny and has almost been killed several different times already. He's going to be lucky to last three years at this rate.

We'll see how he develops. If he becomes accurate enough to the point that WRs will want to play on his team, and he stops taking massive hits seemingly every game, I'm willing to change my stance on him. All the rookie QBs have several seasons to show what they've got though. RGIII looked headed for Canton before he got wrecked by injury.

WR's have never flocked to the Ravens to play with any QB.
They really need to grab some weapons on offense to enhance his potential of reaching his ceiling.

Dak looks a lot better with Amari Cooper as his #1, Watson is a lot harder to defend with Hopkins and other options.
Trubisky looks better with Robinson and Burton.

Vick had a stronger arm so the threat of the deep ball
                          Was there for Vick
Micheal was also the fastest player on the field
Jackson is RGIII throwing slants off RPO

Remember that half this board thought Teebs was good and he was the QBOTF.
