    • Elway's top two QBs last year were Mayfield and Darnold. Not sure order but Denver Was not getting to #1.

2 timely catches in 3 games? He has as many catches as DT since the trade. And supposedly DT has “disappeared” as a Texan.

I love Sutton. He’s my adopted bronco. But I understand what happens when a WR1 is taken away from the other WR opposite who’s learning. Even though DT was getting older and less productive his presence was gameplanned by DCs. It will take a little time before Sutton is gameplanned against.

Also, I'm glad DT is gone. Coincidentally the Broncos are winning games now.
You know Sutton has 3 drops in far fewer targets than DT has 4 drops in right?

Sutton had a couple drops against the Steelers. Broncos went to Sanders and Lindsay to win the game. LaCosse TD was Keenum's 4th read. It's always tough for rookie WR's. The hope is that Sutton continues to progress and makes a big leap in production ASAP.

            • Gotta make the easy layups, otherwise it's a big change of momentum.

They need to keep feeding him. He’s still learning but you have to feed him especially in the redzones. Take advantage of his size and the refs ability to call ticky tack PIs all the time.

                • He certainly has had 2 really good games, we'll see if that trend continues. I think he, and every rookie QB, needs to put together more than a partial season before they're crowned a franchise QB or bust...

                  • If I'm the 49'ers, Cardinals, or Raiders (projected top 3 picks) I seriously consider trading my QB during the draft and taking a franchise QB off the board (if they think there is one).

                    1. 49'ers (Garrapolo) - $20M cap hit next year and only $13M dead money. Salary goes way up after that.
                    2. Cardinals (Rosen) - $4M cap hit next year and only $14M dead money.
                    3. Raiders (Carr) - $22M cap hit next year only $7.5M dead money.

Giants, Jaguars, and Bucs are going to be lurking for a QB in the top 10 too.

the niners and cards are not taking one of these qbs.

I'm glad DT and his soft play / dropped passes / high cap hit are gone. Deal with it.

I agree, people who think he's better than the goat #80 can pound sand, and deal with it.

I guess it depends on whether or not they the coaching staff's think they have a franchise QB on their roster, or if they think they can upgrade in the draft.

They're going to have to, because Heuerman has basically been getting all of DT's targets the last 3 weeks.
