  • Closer Look at Eagles' 42-yd WR Screen to Riley Cooper v Raiders

How similar is this to the one Manning always throws to DT?

That play was doomed from setup for the Raiders. There's no TE and only a single back set to the strong side yet the Raiders have a CB, a LB and a S set to the weak side with only 1 WR on the weak side. They also have another LB just a few yards from the furthest weak side hash so he's almost basically weak side as well. With no TE on the weak side and the RB set to the strong side, a CB and S is all you need set up on the weak side. The LB shift should definitely be leaning toward strong side. At the very least you should have your strong side LB shifted much further over toward the bunch formation.
