Carlos Henderson is in Colorado working out with a personal trainer (Rod English). He just does not want to play football anymore.

I have no doubt Carlos is going through some personal demons or situations. He comes from a city where there was 34 shootings and 7 deaths in the last two weeks. Many, many things are bigger than football.

He will be honored next month at his alma mater, La Tech. We will see if he shows for that.

Magic always said that the best player he played against was some dude that never even played in college or the NBA. Many things in life can trip you up and I hope that Carlos can find his way through the storm and use his God given talents to secure his future.

However the Broncos can’t wait on him. It is what it is.

        Interesting. I didn’t know that.

You don't know that, and how much playing time is he going to get? He could play well and not necessarily stand out.

Like I said a 1,000 players will be cut when he does. A lot of teams will be wanting to resign their own cuts. He could very well slip right on through back to Denver.

The whole NFL could have drafted him in the 6th or 7th round and they all passed.

Not expecting this guy to stay healthy but we will see.

I wouldn't make the assumption that he's going to remain 3rd string. None of these depth charts mean much now. From what I saw last preseason, I think he will be #2 soon.

It doesn't sound like any of the running backs have separated themselves.

                  That's what games are for.

Didn't they mention a couple days ago that all the RB's and QB's would be getting some first team reps soon? I seem to remember seeing that.

River has caught 3 TDs today from Case so he is moving up the depth charts rapidly

All I'm saying is we have four games to get a good look at him, and I don't think we know that much about most of these guys yet, with a few exceptions.

There's another guy at that OLB spot BTW, that bears watching as well, and it's Antonio Simmons, #69, a UDFA from Georgia Tech, who didn't have huge stats in college but showed some flashes as a pass rusher, beating his man often but seemed to have a problem finishing with a tackle. What makes him interesting is he's an athletic freak, 6'3", 250 and to go along with 30 BP reps he also ran a 4.48 forty at his pro day...that would have put him #1 at the combine for the position. He was also a Parade Magazine HS All American who had 29 sacks in high school...in just his senior year. He might be a diamond in the rough. His name has been popping up fairly regularly in camp reports as well. He's got a good shot at the PS I would think if he shows anything in the games.
Yes, he is consistently flashing in my notes. Getting pressures, dropping into the correct area of the zone or keeping his gap integrity. But like you say he's not finishing the play with a tackle. I think we're going to see him in the pre-season games. Lets see how he reacts to the big lights.

Where is going to move to? The top four slots are set, and after that, whether it's 5 or 6 we carry, the last one MUST be a punt return guy. Whoever wins the PR battle wins the spot, no matter what the other guy does on offense. The #5 WR isn't going to see the field on offense unless the game has already been decided, or perhaps in some rare circumstance when we might go with 5 wides like a hail mary pass. Sunshine is still out there also...I think they're going to hold a spot in the back of their minds for him, even if he's not on the opening day roster, especially since they also like his PR abilities. It comes down to whether McKenzie shows he's put last season behind him or not IMO.

Sounds like Booker has, but in a bad way. Still the starter though...

1st depth chart had the starters laid out.

Just like I figured it would be these players(talking starters not depth).

                              Renck has the same starters.

This coaching staff is all about confirmation bias. The fact that it took Kelly outplaying Lynch by a million miles to finally get them to make that change says everything. It's disturbing.
