I wish I could find the interview from Dave Logan. Logan played WR in the division with the Pittsburgh SB teams. He compared Louie to be as good as the Steeler DBs already in the HOF. Louie didn't get the recognition he deserved because of Denver and the media bias. He was quiet and not a self-promoter. I remember no one throwing his way much like Champ.

Wright was a true "shut down " corner before that phrase was in existence.
No one threw to his side because they never got open and he would punish you if you tried. He was great and got no recognition because he was a Bronco.
Another Bronco great in Flyover country! F*** the HOF!

The same argument applies. No one in HOF from the Orange Crush defense. Seems highly unlikely. You could include Alzado.

You could put Louis Wright and Simon Fletcher in the same category. Two very good football players who did not get the recognition they deserved while playing or afterwards.

Louis Wright memory IRC. Louis blocked a field goal try by the Packers. A penalty of some type was called and the Packers got another chance. Louis lined up and blocked the next one too. Unbelievable.

Louis Wright memory IRC. Broncos were playing the Cowboys on MNF and Tony Dorsett broke a long run. Frank, Howard, and Dandy Don were all hooting good bye, nobody can catch Tony Dorsett, when a blur comes into the screen and tackles Dorsett from behind. Dandy Don with complete disbelief says "who was that guy". "Oh, that's Louis Wright". Completely forgot about Louis speed on the field I guess. Amazing.

Denver should have two Cbs in the HOF. Louis and Champ.

Champ isn't eligible until next year.

Not Packers. Chargers. And not Louis but rather it was Dennis Smith.

On the 2nd block, the bouncing ball land in Louis' hands and he ran it in for the OT game-winning score. But it was the great DS49.
