If we get the engaged player, we got a steal.

              Don't like it one bit

              guy doesn't love football

not sure he wants to play

              injury glass man

and you give up 30 spots in the draft and a 5th rounder.

              HORSEFACER GM

might as well cut Carter now.

I heard from a talking head the other day that “generally speaking” this draft is much more top heavy than it is deep at many positions. I have no idea if it’s true, but maybe the Broncos believe that and they think it is a better idea to trade away those later picks on a known quantity, than it is to burn a pick on a guy that may not have a chance to help the team THIS year.

Anyway, it is my understanding that Cravens is not short on talent, but whether or not his head is straight. Seems like a good trade off to me.

                  <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Broncos acquire SS Su&#39;a Cravens from WAS in exchange for 5th-rd pick (No. 163). Broncos also swap 4th-rd picks, going from 109 to WAS&#39;s 113; and 5th-rd picks, from 142 to 149. Also a conditional pick. WAS would get 6th-rd pick in 2020 if Cravens plays in playoff game. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/9sports?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#9sports </a></p>&mdash; Mike Klis (@MikeKlis) <a href="https://twitter.com/MikeKlis/status/979022742543523841?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">March 28, 2018</a></blockquote>

So only move back 4 spots in the 4th and 7 spots in the 5th and give up a late 5th?

                  Not overly bad.

Interesting move for sure. Hope it works out!

Edit - a conditional pick as well?? This guy must be pretty coveted by the Broncos.

Why doesn't wolf go somewhere else and bother others with his drivel?

Guy is still on his rookie contract and we basically gave up a 5th. I think we got the better of that trade by a lot.

Cravens still has 3 years left on his deal at under $1M per. Great deal

If all Cravens did was really help the team this year only, that would likely far exceed what some phantom player late in draft would likely do for us this year.

They reportedly had a 1st round grade on him.

I love it, he can swap out with Davis when we go nickel or sub package for coverage.

This is so ****ing sweet. It also likely means we won't take an ILB in the draft
