Comparing the two makes zero sense to me. One is an addict frat boy who never produced anything at all. The other was a productive player in the league who nearly won a Super Bowl and was blackballed due to political reasons. I agree that is a stupid reason but he didn't piss it away.

So do WRs not have arms in the NFL? That throw would have been defined as catchable not accurate??

Good point. Media hype goes both ways, and me thinks that some are making waaaay too much of 1 throw on a vid. It’s not like his errant throws are smashing car windshields in the parking lot or anything. Sheesh.

He and O'Daniel would make quite the interesting LB projects in the draft.

FCS PRO DAYS: Yale LB Foyesade Oluokun Posts Combine-Like Numbers The draft prospect would have had four Top 10 performances at the NFL Combine in the LB category, and one"runner up" drill.
Oluokun, who stands 6-foot-2, 229 pounds at linebacker for the defending Ivy League champions, posted times in the 40-yard dash and the 20-yard shuttle that would have been elite in the NFL Combine for linebackers. His 40-yard dash time of 4.56 seconds would have been sixth best. Oluokun's 20-yard shuttle time -- which measures quickness and change of direction -- was 4.12 seconds and would have placed second with linebackers only behind Clemson's Dorian O'Daniel (4.07).

Both Oluokun's vertical jump of 37 inches (would have been 6th at combine for LBs) and his broad jump of 10 feet, 3 inches (tied for 4th) would also have been Top 10 marks. Not only was he the talk of the Pro Day held at Columbia's indoor facility, he would have turned heads in Indianapolis, too. Host Columbia University reported that 20 NFL teams and 33 total scouts were on hand for the Pro Day, which several attended because of the snowstorm hitting the New York City area currently.

"Nine teams have reached out in the past three hours," agent Evan Brennan told HERO Sports after the Pro Day.

Elway and Favre are mental midgets compared to Peyton. You need a combination of both, and it’s a 50/50 thing.
I don’t think it’s 50/50 at all. If that’s all it took, there would be better QBs out there. Most QBs in the NFL can make all the throws. How many are elite? And how many of these elite have cannons? Rodgers? Ben, I guess? Brady, Brees, recently manning... those guys made the necessary throws and they didn’t have amazing arms.

The ability to keep your composure and find open dudes, then deliver the ball accurateky is what I want. I don’t care how strong your arm is If a strong arm comes with accuracy then all the better.

And I’m not saying Allen will be bad. I don’t know if he’ll be bad or good. I just don’t care if he can throw 80 yards semi accurately

And broncos fans should realize this. Exhibit A: Paxton Lynch

Allen has all the physical tools, but his inaccuracy issues are a huge concern to me. Who cares if you have a strong arm if you cant make the simple 10-20 yard throws in stride to move the chains consistently.
The thing is you can see that Jordon Palmer has really worked that part of his game and the growth is amazing. He was fastball thrower that you can see is turning into a pitcher. The key was fixing his base, which was out of syncs on some throws. Greg Cosell of NFL film had great line, that you can not fix a QB throwing motion but you can fix their feet and that what Allen needed.

The more I think about it, the more I hope that the only QB we bring is in a camp arm.
