  • FCS PRO DAYS: Yale LB Foyesade Oluokun Posts Combine-Like Numbers The draft prospect would have had four Top 10 performances at the NFL Combine in the LB category, and one"runner up" drill.
Oluokun, who stands 6-foot-2, 229 pounds at linebacker for the defending Ivy League champions, posted times in the 40-yard dash and the 20-yard shuttle that would have been elite in the NFL Combine for linebackers. His 40-yard dash time of 4.56 seconds would have been sixth best. Oluokun's 20-yard shuttle time -- which measures quickness and change of direction -- was 4.12 seconds and would have placed second with linebackers only behind Clemson's Dorian O'Daniel (4.07).

Both Oluokun's vertical jump of 37 inches (would have been 6th at combine for LBs) and his broad jump of 10 feet, 3 inches (tied for 4th) would also have been Top 10 marks. Not only was he the talk of the Pro Day held at Columbia's indoor facility, he would have turned heads in Indianapolis, too. Host Columbia University reported that 20 NFL teams and 33 total scouts were on hand for the Pro Day, which several attended because of the snowstorm hitting the New York City area currently.

"Nine teams have reached out in the past three hours," agent Evan Brennan told HERO Sports after the Pro Day.

      • He and O'Daniel would make quite the interesting LB projects in the draft.

Good point. Media hype goes both ways, and me thinks that some are making waaaay too much of 1 throw on a vid. It’s not like his errant throws are smashing car windshields in the parking lot or anything. Sheesh.

So do WRs not have arms in the NFL? That throw would have been defined as catchable not accurate??

I wish both Johnny and Colin would both go away. I dislike them both for the same reason. Both have talent, both piss it away for stupid reasons.

Comparing the two makes zero sense to me. One is an addict frat boy who never produced anything at all. The other was a productive player in the league who nearly won a Super Bowl and was blackballed due to political reasons. I agree that is a stupid reason but he didn't piss it away.

Or you could put aside the hate and root for a redemption story. Who doesn't like a good redemption story? I'd love to see one or both of them turn their lives around and succeed. Why not?

I don't think CK has to "turn his life around."

Manziel on the other hand, sure.

You do realize he was riding pine behind Blaine Gabbert when the whole political thing started, correct?

Yeah, but you know what I mean. Kaep needs to turn his "fortunes" around, for lack of a better word. They both do. Kaep went to consecutive NFCCG's and was considered a terrific young QB not all that long ago. And Manziel, despite being a dipsh*t, was considered by many to be a 1st round talent. If somebody gives one of them a chance, despite the odds being against them, who knows? I, for one, would love to see them succeed. But I'm an empathetic person, what can I say.

Speaking of redemption stories and former NFL QB's, if you've never seen it, check out the E:60 on Ryan Leaf. Terrific story. https://vimeo.com/218180535

                          • Look at this throw right before half, heading out of bound, 40 yard laser for a TD

This is why Allen has NFL intrigued.

Allen has really grown on me, and would be very happy if he falls to us @ 5, and the Broncos pull the trigger. And no, it's not because of his Pro Day; but rather the many variables that are involved.
