Most great NBA players are tall. Andre the Giant (from Princess Bride!) was tall. Am I saying Andre the Giant was a great NBA player? Of course not. Logic baby.

The Chiefs are good team made better by avoiding boneheaded mistakes. The Broncos are a great team in danger of flaming out in a game becasue of their tendency to shoot themselves int he foot - hello Ravens playoff game.

Manning's fumbles are a direct result of the line getting beat. Now is that overall scheme or Manning's play calls at the line?
You're right, Manning is clear and free of any mistakes.

Let's just completely ignore the fact that the ball Manning threw to Thomas was underthrown.

They can play some stinky football just like everybody can. They lost to the Colts and just about damn near lost to the Titans. Nobody is above playing a bad game here or there, even the Seahags.

He had both hands on the ball and had it taken away.

Hall made a great play, but once the ball was in his hands well...

Points we scored in the 4th quarter = 31

Most points the Chefs have scored in an entire game this year = 31

Yeah we won but the Broncos make too many mistakes, give up too many points. They have got to get the turnovers under control.

                Let's see..what's stronger...2 hands or 1 hand and a whole body?

Hall was able to use all his momentum and body weight while he was falling to the ground to snag the ball.

The adjustment DT would have to make the is to come back from the ball and be a little bit more physical.

At the end of the day, it was a great play by Hall. I'm just saying, Manning could have led Thomas a bit more too.

But the Chiefs don't turn the ball over bro. Thus they are a great team and we are merely average-good.

Let's ignore the fact that turnovers can be fixed and adjusted during the NFL season. While scoring more points? Generally cannot, especially with a QB like Alex Smith.

Well considering our perfectionist for a QB was the one responsible for all 4 of the turnovers, i don't think it is too much to worry about. The RBs were running good and had obvious tight grips on the ball.

we don't match up well with that team.

The chiefs play controlled football. Every situation needs to be controlled. They do not have the offensive talent to trade scores for 60 minutes. I think it would be hard for them to overcome a 17-0, 21-3 deficit early. Means Smith has to throw more, for bigger chunks of yards, and that "all world" defense cant play overly aggressively. It would probably also help if they stopped playing teams third quarterbacks every week.

Do you think perhaps the level of mistake free football they play has a little something to do with their being 8-0? Just maybe?

Them in a deficit is an interesting point. I wonder if we choose not to defer for the first time that game.

A little. A lot more to do with variance.

It is certainly why they have been in every game, but like Archer said, it really helps that they have had an unusual streak of getting to play a team's 2nd & 3rd QB on Sunday.
