An elite organization is more than a couple seasons of gaudy stats. It's an organization with a culture of winning. That isn't built in a year. The elite franchise playoff history is a symptom of an elite organization. They're not separate.

If KC is a bottom tier franchise, then Denver certainly isn't top tier. What a pile of homerism. The top tier would consist of Pittsburgh, Green Bay, NE, Dallas and SF. Then a big drop-off.

Denver doesn't measure up to those franchises in any way. Not in the playoffs, regular season, consistency, nothing.
Denver is in the top 10 for playoff win percentage. They are one of only 9 teams with 3 Lombardi Trophies. They are one of only 4 teams to play in 8 or more Super Bowls. They recently finished a 35 year streak of having no consecutive losing seasons. They have one of the highest, if not the highest, of any NFL team since 1984 (the beginning of Pat Bowlen's ownership). This is the definition of an elite franchise.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs have a worse playoff win percentage than anyone except the Browns, Lions, and Bengals. They are in the bottom half of the league in playoff games played and games won, and most of the teams behind them are much more recent additions to the league. They have a single Super Bowl win, dating to before it was even the Super Bowl, which is also the last time they've even been there until this year. Until very recently, their last playoff win was 1993. This is the definition of a bottom tier franchise.

Maybe your luck is changing. Mahomes is certainly an outstanding young QB, but fans more experienced with the upper echelons of winning understand that it often takes a lot more than a great QB to win, let alone win consistently.

Yes, let's highlight only the things that fit your narrative. That's an original strategy. For someone who tries to portray himself as the voice of reason, you have some pretty immature takes.

11 wins/year over nearly a decade is a little more than a "couple years of gaudy stats."

Who cares how many SBs Denver has played in? You just finished typing that KC's SB appearance means nothing without a victory (and that all seasons that don't end in championships are failures). And this is the only number out of your cherry-picked stat list which is "tier one" worthy.

For KC, the only number that is near the bottom is the playoff win %. And that can be very misleading. It lets a lot of teams with fewer playoff appearances off the hook (particularly newer franchises). Plus, it would lead you to believe that a franchise like the Chargers is as good or better than KC historically, and they're not.

The Chiefs are not a bottom tier franchise overall. They're somewhere in the middle, all things considered. Maybe lower half, but not near the bottom.

What you continue to fail to realize is that this doesn't "hurt" us. You clowns think you can rain on the parade and you can't. No one wants to trade places. Not now, and not for the next 15+ years. But keep trying.

Of course he is here. The Knobs are in the SB.

              • I'm sure the Queef fans will be talking about Mahomes signing a Brady deal soon. He will need to dump the GF/wife that he has now and get one that makes more than him.

                • Mahomes chick is annoying.
                  She looks average & common.
She acts low class always screaming like anyone wants to hear that shrill voice.

Dude could do so much better.

                  • Couple things.

                    1. I've got thoughts on Mahomes GF.....they are HS sweethearts.....and from a not so big town in northeast TX. On the one hand...she's been with him since WAY before he was big time and famous....so he can trust her. That's important IF he's the kind of guy who isn't interested in the party scene or nailing what must be a spectacular pussy parade he has access to at any given moment. He might be that guy. He comes off like he could be the guy that just loves football, and that his girl is genuine and trustworthy, and while not the hottest ever....she gets it done and genuinely cares about him. That MIGHT be the case. .....hell, it probalby IS the case...and even at that.......they go out with Travis Kelce and his lady fairly often....and it's a big discrepancy between that super hot lady Kelce has, and the one Patrick has...and again, the cooz lined up to get a shot at the unicorn is probably unbelievable....the temptation must be insane. I worry this could cause on field problems at some point....I hope not.

Side story. A long time ago, a mexican place in KC that I frequented, was hosting Tony Gonzales, his fiance, and Donnie Edwards and his wife/fiance. KC is pretty good about letting our athletic stars be somewhat regular joes around town, so it's not, or wastn' back then at least..to see guys and their ladies out to eat etc. ..Donnie Edwards woman was UGLY as hell. I wasn't in awe to see to Chiefs players at a place I eat...I was taken back at how extremely less than ordinary Edwards woman looked. Now....maybe she was hotter when she was younger...but more important...maybe they met when he was a nobody...and was only a lowly 4th round pick, and she'd stuck with him through some bad times....and you know....since she wasn't full of herself....probalby really good in bed and let him have his way....ALL THAT. And...having her out in public..probalby well aware she wasn't "hot"....he wasn't ashamed of her...probalby truly loved her....so it's possible that Mahomes and his girl are going to be together....but I agree, he could probably do better....and 95% would probably be lucky to have his girl...she isn't a 10, but she's not awful.

                    2. About KC playoff record that doesn't get the attention it deserves........In the Marty Years especially.....KC was perfecting marty ball....great D, and an O that didn't make mistakes...especially turnovers. This earned A LOT of teams with bad QB's, first round byes...wich is in a way, alot like a playoff win in the wild card round....and in the case of those Marty teams..it most certainly meant we were avoiding some dangerous wild card teams back then that we might have lost to had we played them instead of having a bye. By the time the divisional round came, and KC, often hosting, would then "surprisingly" lose as the higher seed. Marty was very good at taking a roster with a suck ass QB and making it a competative winner using his style of coaching. He got to AFC title games with Bernie Kosar and Joe Montana as his QBs. ......he never got there with DeBerg, Bono, or Grbac, and Vermiel never got there with Trent Green....and Herm Edwards couldn't get there with Damon Huard.

Is it really that shocking that our playoff record prior to Mahomes was bad? Marty was a curse! He was a really solid coach that kept on dragging crap QB's to the playoffs. Most coaches wouldn't have been in the playoffs....or would have been fringe wild cards at best with those squads and QB's. The fact Marty could do this probably actually delayed real progress in KC for 20 years. 20 years we whould have spent with new coach(s) trying to find a QB and get it done.

Here is a list of the QB matchups that KC had in playoffs since 90. ...its really not as much a detriment that we lost so many games....it's a miracle we played in so many with the garbage we trotted out as QB.

                    90. Deberg VS Marino. L
                    91. Marinovich VS Deberg W
                    91. Deberg VS Kelley. L
                    92. Krieg VS Humphries L
                    93. O'Donnel VS Montana W
                    93. Montana VS Moon W
                    93. Montana VS Kelley L
                    94. Montana VS Marino L (Montana's final NFL game)
                    95. Harbaugh VS Bono L
                    96. 9-7, no playoffs
                    97. Elway VS Grbac L
                    98. 7-9, no playoffs
                    99. 9-7, no playoffs
                    00. 7-9, no playoffs
                    01. 6-10, no playoffs
                    02. 8-8, no playoffs
                    03. Manning VS Green L
                    04. 7-9, no playoffs
                    05. 10-6, no playoffs
                    06. Green VS Manning L
                    07. 4-12, no playoffs
                    08. 2-12, no playoffs
                    09. 4-12, no playoffs
                    10. Flacco VS Cassel L
                    11. 7-9, no playoffs
                    12. 2-14, no playoffs
                    13. Smith VS Luck L
                    14. 9-7, no playoffs
                    15. Smith VS Hoyer W
                    15. Smith VS Brady L
                    16. Smith VS Roethlisberger L
                    17. Mariotta VS Smith L
                    18. Luck VS Mahomes W
                    18. Brady VS Mahomes L
                    19. Watson VS Mahomes W
                    19. Tannehill VS Mahomes W

The ONE unquestionable bad loss was Smith losing to Mariotta....you can debate Smith should have beaten Luck....otherwise we have a list of hall of famers here.

Marino twice. Kelley twice. Elway. Manning twice. Brady twice. Roethlisberger. That's 10 Losses VS guys who are 1st ballot HOF QBS. ....and one to Flacco,

In order of appearance for KC
DeBerg, Krieg, Montana, Bono, Grbac, Green, Cassel, Smith......Mahomes.

Is that a real bet? I would definitely take the under. Look at all the breaks that had to go KC’s way just to get their first appearance. Only Elway and Brady have over 4.5 SB appearances. Even Montana and Bradshaw only have 4, and they were actually on the two greatest dynasties (not caught cheating) of the SB era. It was also easier to build dynasties before free agency.
