  • Great Comedy Site

Was doing a little geology research regarding the formation of the Rocky Mountains (after a fantastic hike up to Fern Lake on Friday) and stumbled across this site. Great for a laugh.

    Every page is howler.

Got increasingly funny when they embraced Presuppositionalism. For example:

The Bible must come first in our quest for knowledge; it is superior to other sources of information, including knowledge gained from the natural sciences. This must be the case because other sources of knowledge presuppose the Bible.

...Science cannot be rationally used to override the plain teaching of the Bible, because the plain teaching of the Bible is required in order for science to be possible.

Furthermore, since the Bible has never been wrong about anything, and since it is the very Word of the One who knows everything, we must place our confidence in the Bible above all other sources of information.
    What a riot!

I don't see a problem with the general principle that Science exists because of God, as a system of rules and organization for a world.

The problem is that (a) there is no empirical evidence to support the existence of God, and (b) all the logical "proofs" for the existence of God are unsound.

              Ahhh AIG.

              They are dead serious too.

Run by a guy named Ken Ham, who, among other things has built a Creation "museum" and is trying to build a full scale ark "replica".

Also runs a home school curriculum company that is full on brain washing type stuff (also one of the primary supplier of curricula and materials for many home schoolers).

All in all, a pretty ****ing horrible organization.

                  A Parting of the Waves
                  on December 27, 2010

                  Table of Contents

Is there any natural explanation for the parting of the Red Sea that allowed Moses and the children of Israel to cross and elude the pharaoh’s army (Exodus 14)?

Researchers have proposed that a 63-mile-per-hour wind blowing for several hours could have pushed back a wall of water. But does such an explanation make the parting of the Red Sea somehow more probable?

The Bible indicates that the Creator of the universe used a force of nature (wind). Not all miracles need be violations of natural laws; though the timing shouts God’s sovereign control.
Furthermore, scientific research can neither prove nor disprove this historical event. We can know for sure what happened because we have a reliable eyewitness account: God recorded what He did in the Bible. http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/20...d-sea-research

It's no different than the people who reside in rubber rooms alking to non-existant friends........we don't celebrate their hallucinations, but we do think they have lost their mind.

You have a religion and you don't even know it. Your supreme being is yourself because you think you are so smart and have it all figured out. Then you get together and worship your enlightenment by bashing religion. We aren't talking about just saying I'm not a believer. We are talking about starting threads about how you hate religion, what a joke it is, then all of you coming in to wank on it.

Oh and Rock For Vets concert we are doing is Sept 20th. Just giving back to the community and the men and women who fight for it. You're invited ya know? bring your science textbook you can read from it when we do the prayer. You do still put your hand over your heart for star spangled banner right?

Only since 1954, when we had to prove that we weren't godless atheist automatons like those Commies when we mindlessly engaged in a ritual to a piece of cloth.
