I'm wondering why the OP conflates universal background checks with the supposed "liberalization of Colorado."

That was passed by a Colorado legislature controlled top to bottom by Democrats, who once in office went on a power binge and passed every stupid pet law they could think of, be it on guns, in state tuition for illegal aliens, drivers licenses for illegal aliens.

Now why would they do that?

Because they know it's the only way those laws could have been passed, perhaps? Because such laws in the past were attempted to be put on the ballot and FAILED?

    Liberalization?

No - that's just power tripping.

Plenty of conservatives the libertarians were for pot legalization, INCLUDING the hated Tom Tancredo.

    I guess he's a liberal.

Can someone give a number of the amount of damage the quakes in Okla have caused? Oh that's right it's like nothing. Smoke no fire! Typical liberal whining and crying.

If Hobo couldn't cut and paste he'd be "out of a job".

So they have a few harmless quakes. Big deal. Small price to pay for jobs and money.

Of course, the oil company reps they interviewed took absolutely zero responsibility for any of these problems. Some things never change.

Nice to see CO becoming more liberal.

Maybe this trend will eventually compel all the rednecks from Texas, Kansas, the deep south, etc., to go home.

Don't worry, we've been spending billions militarizing the police state and policing the world. In a US Border control bill this summer, the senate gave a quarter of a billion to aid Israel. WTF does Israel have to do with our border control? We also seem to worry just as much about borders throughout the middle east as much as our own. Also, it would be nice to use the billions actually spent on our own border for immediate threats to our security and not waste it on pot.
