  • C19 doesn't care about your politics, and the math doesn't either

Over 1,000 people died, just today, of C19.

Some quick math shows that the number of deaths per day has grown by about 30% per day, on average, over the course of the last two weeks. This is a much more meaningful number than # of cases or growth in # of cases per day.

If this trend continues for the next week, which there is no reason to believe it won't, there will be over 6,000 deaths per day.

But the projected peak is still late April, three weeks away. This 30% trend has to be slowed, or the deaths per day become very grim: 6 figures grim. Likely it will slow as the virus runs out of new hosts to infect, but we are easily looking at a middling 5 figure daily death toll by the peak of this.

    This is not a drill.

This is not election year shenanigans like some of our political crack head posters have claimed.

C19 is not 'just a cold -no worse than the flu season!' like some of our dim witted posters have maintained.

This is not a situation where we just let people die to save our 401ks like the perversely sociopathic posters have urged.

    Get with the program.

It has almost passed the the figure for how many people die per day from heart disease in the US, scary. Now stay inside and stare at your electronic device all day like a good boy.

Sounds like the same dumb argument you people invoke whenever the subject of gun violence comes up.

You’re why we can’t have nice things.

Nothing about gun violence was Brought up. Just heart disease, usually invoked by sedentary activity like posting far left memes on a Denver broncos forum 24/7

            Missed the point.

But thanks for the constant reminders that anti-tRump memes bring severe butt hurt.

Guns are nice things. And our constitutional right to own them is why you too, get to have nice things.

Need the crayons and hand puppets version?

To equate the C19 pandemic with deaths from heart disease is to employ the same dumb logic that equates deaths from gun violence with traffic fatalities.

First it was the flu, now we are moving the goal posts to heart disease?

What is the next goalpost when it kills more than that?

I have not seen anything quite like this- our parking lots an empty, our capacity is at all time lows, and the hallways are empty- this is the calm before the storm.... you almost get the weird feeling this isn't gonna get real and peak, but we know it is....

505 of which were in NY. Like every single day. Half of COVID-19 shlt is happening in NY. Close that place up and don't let anyone in or out. Until then, I'll continue to see NY plates here in the south.

I don’t think we’ve even passed the flu yet
