Of course, the media will let the Republicans (and many Democrats) get away with blaming universal health care for deaths. I'm sure it's a narrative that the insurance industry pays them to promote.

Keep in mind, when all is said and done and the dust (and wreckage) settles after this virus passes, the people in countries with universal health care will not then be sitting at a table with piles of medical bills which will then bankrupt them (if they were not already bankrupted by the virus), but Americans will.

WHY WON'T MILLIONS OF AMERICANS SEEK HEALTH CARE IN THIS CRISIS? BECAUSE THEY CAN'T AFFORD IT.

On the one hand you're trying to blame Trump and capitalism for the proliferation of it here while you're insisting Italy's socialized healthcare system has nothing to do with the proliferation of it and the mounting old people being allowed to lie in Italy. You're trying to have your cake and eat it, too, and you've offered to justify this double standard so far is 1) personal attacks, and 2) posting a few quotes from the old Marxist Sanders rote-attacking capitalist healthcare with the usual Marxian canards.

WHY WON'T MILLIONS OF AMERICANS SEEK HEALTH CARE IN THIS CRISIS? BECAUSE THEY CAN'T AFFORD IT.
Lie. It's illegal to turn away people who can't pay from emergency rooms. Stop lying for once in your life.

Furthermore, cheapo high deductible health insurance has been available. People who aren't buying it make that choice.

It's not rational to say healthcare is "affordable" if the payments for it come in the form of high taxes out of paychecks but suddenly it's not "affordable" if it comes out of people purchasing high deductible plans. Yet again you're either clueless or flagrantly lying.

Funny you're such an uncritical reader when it comes to lemming leftist newspapers publishing lies by leftist totalitarian regimes. China was anything but up front and quick-reacting which is why it spread so far and wide so quickly.

Even your own trash left wing sources admit this.

China Is Avoiding Blame by Trolling the World

Beijing is successfully dodging culpability for its role in spreading the coronavirus.

The evidence of China’s deliberate cover-up of the coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan is a matter of public record. In suppressing information about the virus, doing little to contain it, and allowing it to spread unchecked in the crucial early days and weeks, the regime imperiled not only its own country and its own citizens but also the more than 100 nations now facing their own potentially devastating outbreaks. More perniciously, the Chinese government censored and detained those brave doctors and whistleblowers who attempted to sound the alarm and warn their fellow citizens when they understood the gravity of what was to come.
You're on the one hand repeatedly excoriating Trump for "slow response" while you hail China's coverup which caused the virus to spread all over the planet. Need a refresher about the Chinese censorship?

Chinese Doctor, Silenced After Warning of Outbreak, Dies From Coronavirus

Dr. Li Wenliang issued a warning about a strange new virus. Then the authorities summoned him for questioning.

WUHAN, China — He was the doctor who tried to sound a warning that a troubling cluster of viral infections in a Chinese province could grow out of control — and was then summoned for a middle-of-the-night reprimand over his candor.

On Friday, the doctor, Li Wenliang, died after contracting the very illness he had told medical school classmates about in an online chat room, the coronavirus. He joined the more than 600 other Chinese who have died in an outbreak that has now spread across the globe.

Yet again I have to point out what a flaming moron you are.

i dont believe any form of healthcare was ready for this.

But Biden is definitely blaming Italys system. Speaking of which, i noticed Bernie was fundraising to help people during the pandemic, but Biden is where? Last time i saw him he was staring into the void at a podium.

As for the bills, i believe they are being waived for COV treatment. But we will see.

How many people go into bankruptcy because they can't pay taxes? More than 500,000 Americans go into bankruptcy every ****ing year over medical bills, most of them for lifesaving treatment.

What a weird phenomenon: Trump starts losing it and lashing out, and now we have the Trump trolls losing it and lashing out. It's like they're part of a hive-mind.

He accuses everyone he hates of trolling and worse. It's one of his grab-bag pat responses. Like an automated answering machine.

Because they failed to get health insurance. High deductible insurance isn't that costly and it's certainly cheaper than having one's paycheck gutted for taxation into a nationalized system. Either way people are going to pay but these socialized healthcare advocates here can't put that together and think it's "free" somehow. Uh no, the cost is just shifted from paycheck deductions and deductibles to high taxes.

Some people - including coworkers of mine - do not manage money well and live beyond their means. That's on them.

Nobody is losing it and lashing out here but you. Trump has been quite calm throughout his press conferences. Those who don't watch them and rely on deceptive language by left wing pundits claiming he "lashed out" and otherwise are beyond exaggerating and into lying. You parrot it because it suits your narrative. You will pass on anything, and I mean anything, to attack Trump including things you know full well are flagrant lies. You've already shown this by claiming the video I posted showing media lying about Trump saying things he did not say and twisting his words and putting words in his mouth was "doctored" but you have failed to prove it and filled the space you should have defending that claim with spamming posts full of insults.

You contribute nothing to this forum outside of geriatric rage.

You're nothing more than a useful idiot for the insurance lobby.

                          1. America's for-profit health care system isn't designed to respond to a large scale public health crisis.

                          2. Perhaps private insurance "isn't that costly" for you, but it's still unaffordable for millions of Americans who are one medical bill away from insolvency.

                          3. Even if your private insurance covers you in the event that you are infected with COVID-19, it's a moot point when there's huge swaths of Americans walking around.who can't get tested or treated.

                          4. There's no reason why the cost of universal healthcare HAS to be "shifted" to higher taxes - at least not higher taxes for working and middle class Americans, anyway.

It's all about budget priorities. At some point you have to decide which is more important: health or profligate spending on defense, corporate subsidies, tax cuts for billionaires, etc.

What they're hiding from Americans is the truth that dare not speak its name: Universal health care that covers all Americans will be far less expensive than the corporate cash cow that is failing us now.

So the OP makes a thread about how the virus is pretty much nothing, and people are overreacting - and they know because you know, they used to work in healthcare! And then makes a post like this.

Obviously has no idea what they are talking about, and are just posting to cause hate and confusion.
