Trump is the culmination of the Republican revolution that started under Reagan whose goal was always to tear down the US government and replace it with pure, unadulterated corporatism. They were hoping that a neocon-controlled Dubya could have pulled it off, but not quite. Obama was able to bail us out. With Trump, success is finally within reach. We have a government now that has been so fundamentally broken down that it cannot respond to a crisis, and a president who is a real estate conman and reality TV show host completely lost when confronted by a real problem that can't be solved by just "flooding the zone" with bull****. McKenzie&Co and the rest of the Management Consulting firms that recommending stripping our manufacturing & production facilities to be as lean as possible and save a buck or two. Efficiency is good but needs to balanced with risks and not making a little more profit.
